Industry, California

Industry, officially the City of Industry, is an industrial suburb of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County. Home to over 2,500 businesses and 80,000 jobs, but only 219 residents at the 2010 census—down from 777 residents as of the 2000 United States census—the city is almost entirely industrial. It was incorporated on June 18, 1957 to prevent surrounding cities from annexing industrial land for tax revenue.

La Habra Heights is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 5,325 at the 2010 census, down from 5,712 at the 2000 census. La Habra Heights is a rural canyon community located on the border of Orange and Los Angeles counties. The zoning is 1-acre lots with a variety of home and ranch style properties. La Habra Heights features open space, no sidewalks, no street lights and encouragement of animal husbandry.

Hsi Lai Temple

Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple is a traditional Chinese Buddhist mountain monastery in the United States, one of the largest of its kind in the North American continent. It is located on the foothill region of Hacienda Heights, California, a suburb of Los Angeles County. The name "Hsi Lai" means Coming West in the sense of the "Great Buddhadharma Coming West. " The temple is affiliated Fo Guang Shan, one of Taiwan's largest Buddhist organizations.

Rancho La Puente

Rancho La Puente was a ranch in the eastern San Gabriel Valley that, in its fullest extent, measured just under 49,000 acres, and remained intact until about 1870. By modern landmarks, the ranch extended from San Gabriel River on the west to just west of the 57 Freeway on the east and from Ramona Boulevard/San Bernardino Road on the north to the Puente Hills on the south. All but 40 acres, which fall within Orange County, are within Los Angeles County.
