Los Angeles River

The Los Angeles River (also known as the L.A. River) is a river that starts in the San Fernando Valley, in the Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains, and flows through Los Angeles County, California, from Canoga Park in the western end of the San Fernando Valley, nearly 48 miles southeast to its mouth in Long Beach. Several tributaries join the once free-flowing and frequently flooding river, forming alluvial flood plains along its banks.

Canoga Park (formerly known as Owensmouth) is a district in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, United States about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Downtown Los Angeles. It is bordered by Woodland Hills on the south, West Hills on the west, Chatsworth on the north, and Winnetka on the east.

Van Nuys Assembly

Van Nuys Assembly was a General Motors automobile factory in Van Nuys, California. Opened as a Chevrolet plant in 1947, Van Nuys produced the Chevrolet Corvair, Chevrolet Nova, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet full-size models (Impala, etc. ), and Pontiac Firebird. The plant was closed in 1992 when Camaro/Firebird production was moved to Sainte-Thérèse Assembly in Quebec. The site was razed in 1998.

Cobalt Cafe

The Cobalt Cafe is an all ages, non-alcoholic venue in Canoga Park, California that caters to local bands that range from punk to heavy metal to alternative. Some of the bands that got their start there include AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Less Than Jake, Incubus, Strung Out, Link 80, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Hoobastank, California Redemption, and more. Westfield Topanga, formerly known as the Westfield Shoppingtown Topanga and more commonly known to locals as the Topanga Mall or Topanga Plaza, is a two-story shopping mall consisting of 279 tenants spread across three sections. Canoga is the only Metro Liner station to feature more that 2 platforms. There are a total of 4 platforms at this station. The original platforms of the original Metro Orange Line route between Warner Center & North Hollywood were renumbered to Platforms #3 (to Warner Center Transit Hub) and Platform #4 (to North Hollywood).
