The 1990 United States Grand Prix was a Formula One race held on March 11, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona. It was the opening round of the 1990 Formula One season. It was the 32nd United States Grand Prix since the American Grand Prize was first held in 1908, and the 25th since the first United States Grand Prix was held at Riverside in 1958. It was the second to be held on the streets of Phoenix in Arizona. It was held over 72 laps of the four-kilometer circuit for a race distance of 273 kilometers.

Phoenix street circuit
The Formula One United States Grand Prix was held on the Phoenix street circuit in Phoenix, Arizona between 1989 and 1991. It was held in downtown by the Phoenix Civic Plaza and the America West Arena, prior to the introduction of the state's baseball stadium, Bank One Ballpark. The United States Grand Prix lasted in Phoenix for three years, but was ultimately dropped due to poor fan turnout.
Luhrs Tower
Luhrs Tower is an Art Deco skyscraper office building in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It is located at the southeast corner of First Avenue and Jefferson Street, on the south side of the former Patriots Square Park. Built in 1929 by George Luhrs, a prominent local businessman, the tower reaches a height of 185 ft (56 m). Luhrs Tower has 14 stories, with symmetrical setbacks at the 8th and 11th floors.
Luhrs Building
The Luhrs Building is an historic ten-story building located at 11 West Jefferson in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It was built at a cost of $553,000 USD by local businessman George Luhrs and opened on April 1, 1924. The building's four upper floors housed the facilities of the Arizona Club, including dining rooms, lounges, a library, and bedrooms for club members. The ground floors were leased as office space.
Patriots Square Park
Patriots Square Park was an urban park located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The space has been redeveloped as part of the larger CityScape office and retail project; large portions of the park were demolished as of the spring of 2009. Before the CityScape project broke ground in the fall of 2007, Patriots Square Park was a 2.5 acre (1 hectare) mixed-use park containing open space, an outdoor performing arts stage, and food concessions.

The METRO Light Rail station which surrounds Downtown Phoenix's Central Station transit hub is not called Central Station but rather Van Buren Street and Central Avenue and Van Buren Street and 1st Avenue (it is also known as the ASU Downtown Campus station). Despite having at least four different names, it is all actually one station, which serves as a stop for various city buses as well as the trolleys.

Washington Street and Central Avenue and Jefferson Street and 1st Avenue (also known as Downtown Phoenix and City Hall) is a light rail station on METRO Light Rail in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. It is the sixteenth stop westbound and the thirteenth stop eastbound on the initial 20 mile starter line. This station is split between two platforms, the northbound platform on Central Avenue at Washington Street and the southbound on 1st Avenue at Jefferson Street, approximately 800 feet apart.

44 Monroe is a $70 million (USD), 523,619-square-foot residential high-rise building, located at the northeast corner of Monroe Street and First Avenue in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The 34-story tower is Arizona's tallest residential structure.
Heard Building
The Heard Building (alternatively the Greater Arizona Savings Building) is a 7-story high-rise building in Phoenix, Arizona, it housed the offices of The Arizona Republic (formerly the Arizona Republican) and the Phoenix Gazette from 1920 to 1948. The building was constructed between 1919 and 1920 and was the first high-rise building to be erected in Phoenix. It held the title of tallest building in Arizona for four years until the completion of the Luhrs Building in 1924.
