KUBD is a CBS affiliate in Ketchikan, Alaska. The station is owned by Ketchikan Television, LLC, and is a satellite of KTNL-TV. The station went on the air April 1, 1995 as KNEB-TV, operating on analog channel 4. It became KUBD in 1998. Originally a TBN affiliate, the station switched to Pax in 1998 and joined CBS in 2000. Ketchikan Harbor Seaplane Base is a privately owned, public use seaplane base located at the harbor of Ketchikan, a city in the Ketchikan Gateway Borough of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is located near the Ketchikan International Airport, which also has its own seaplane landing area. As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 38,945 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 40,462 enplanements in 2009, and 43,737 in 2010.
