Tuscaloosa is a city in and the seat of Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama (in the southeastern United States). University Mall is the largest mall in western Alabama. It is located at the intersection of McFarland Boulevard and Veterans' Memorial Parkway in Tuscaloosa, the busiest in the city. Owned and managed by Montgomery-based Aronov Realty, the mall opened on August 20, 1980. Anchor stores of the 733,254 sq ft enclosed mall include J.C. Penney (99,450 sq ft), Sears (105,000 sq ft), Belk Women (82,222 sq ft) and Belk Men, Home & Kids (90,174 sq ft).
Hurricane Creek (Black Warrior River)
Hurricane Creek is a tributary of the Black Warrior River located in Southwestern Tuscaloosa County in western Alabama. It is over 30 miles long and its watershed covers approximately 120 square miles. It is used by communities around it, including the city of Tuscaloosa, for recreation and offers a wide variety of aquatic life and quality aesthetics.
Paul Bryant Bridge
The Paul Bryant Bridge is the four-lane, 150-foot tall, $28 million bridge spanning the Black Warrior River along Alabama State Route 297 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Construction of the 3,785-foot long, twin-span bridge commenced in March 2000. Originally slated to open in December 2003, construction delays resulted in its opening on April 23, 2004. Serving as the fourth crossing of the Black Warrior River, this was the first phase of the larger Warrior Loop project slated for completion by 2012.

Tuscaloosa Transit Authority
The Tuscaloosa Transit Authority, or TTA, is a local, government-owned bus system based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that commenced operation in 1971. The Tuscaloosa Transit Authority serves the city of Tuscaloosa and also operates the trolleys between the student entertainment districts downtown and The Strip and game day shuttle buses for Alabama football games. The Tuscaloosa Transit Authority is governed by a seven member board, and employs a staff of 27 full time employees as off February 2008.
Woolsey Finnell Bridge
The Woolsey Finnell Bridge is the four-lane, girder bridge spanning the Black Warrior River along U.S. 82 (McFarland Boulevard) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that opened in 1961. The bridge takes its name from the former state director of highways for Alabama, Woolsey Finnell. This is one of only four vehicular bridges spanning the Black Warrior in Tuscaloosa.
Holt Lock and Dam
The Holt Lock and Dam is a lock built on the Black Warrior River near Holt, Alabama in Tuscaloosa County. Opening for navigation in 1966, it served as a replacement for a series locks and dams built in the early 20th century. The lock and dam impounds Holt Lake 19 miles upstream to the John Hollis Bankhead Lock and Dam. The lock is located in the southern bank and has an inside chamber with dimensions of 110 feet by 600 feet, and having a maximum lift of 64 feet .

WUAC-LP is a radio station licensed to serve Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The station is owned by Crucifest Ministries. It airs a Christian rock format geared mainly toward alternative and rap. The station shares time with WTUS-LP, with WUAC broadcasting from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM daily, and WTUS broadcasting the remaining twelve hours of each day. A third Tuscaloosa LPFM licensee to this frequency, which would have had a Chinese language Christian format, returned its license to the FCC.

McFarland Mall
McFarland Mall is a regional 497,000-square-foot shopping mall on U.S. Route 11 (Skyland Boulevard East) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Located at the interchange of Interstate 20/59 with U.S. Route 82 (McFarland Boulevard), it is in the southern section of the city. After opening in February 1969, the mall has seen a steady decline since the opening of University Mall and as of 2009 was rumored as a potential site for demolition and major redevelopment.
Strode House
The Strode Mansion is the former residence of Hudson Strode. The residence includes the main house, a small caretaker's cabin, and a separate writing studio, as well as 27 acres of woodland. The Strodes bequeathed their residence to the University of Alabama's Department of English. The property is located at 49 Cherokee Drive, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The home was designated a historic landmark by the Alabama Historical Association in 1987.
Paul W. Bryant High School
Paul W. Bryant High School serves grades 9 through 12 and is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, forming part of the Tuscaloosa City Schools. The school is named after former Alabama Crimson Tide football head coach Paul William "Bear" Bryant. Alabama Soccer Stadium
The University of Alabama Soccer Stadium was built in 2004. The complex features covered bench areas for both teams and a press box with seating for 1,500 spectators and standing room for many more. The University of Alabama soccer field was the first home of Alabama soccer and it saw its first action on Oct. 2, 1994, as Alabama played Furman University. The Tide has compiled a 109-56-11 overall record on campus and a 36-29-4 ledger since playing at the Alabama Soccer Complex.
