Decatur, Alabama
Decatur is a city in Morgan and Limestone Counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. The city, affectionately known as "The River City", is located in Northern Alabama on the banks of Wheeler Lake, along the Tennessee River. It is the largest city and county seat of Morgan County. The population in 2010 census was 55,683. Decatur is also the core city of the two-county large Decatur Metropolitan Area which had 150,125 in 2006.
Decatur High School (Alabama)
Decatur High School is a public high school in Decatur, Alabama, United States. It is one of two high schools in the Decatur City School District. Decatur High offers technical, academic, and International Baccalaureate programs, as well as dual enrollment with the John C. Calhoun Community College System. Decatur High, along with southwestern Decatur's Austin High School, were the first International Baccalaureate schools in Alabama north of Birmingham, Alabama.

The Decatur Metropolitan Area is a moderately urban region of North-Central Alabama. The 2008 estimate population is 150,125, one third of which resides within the boundaries of its core city, Decatur, Alabama. The metro area is the combined area of the City of Decatur and the surrounding areas in suburban, rural, and more developed parts of Morgan and Lawrence Counties. It is also considered to be part of the North, Northwest, and North-Central regions of Alabama.
Delano Park (Decatur)
The Delano Park, operated by the Decatur Parks and Recreation Board, is the oldest park in the city of Decatur, Alabama. It was created in 1887, as part of a master plan to "re-invent" the City of Decatur, then New Decatur. The city created the "Decatur Land Improvement and Furnace Company" for this specific purpose. The company employed a landscape architect by the name of Nathan Franklin Barrett to design a whole new city that had been ravaged by a Yellow Fever epidemic and the Civil War.
Ogle Stadium
Ogle Stadium is an 9,000-seat stadium in Decatur, Alabama, located on the southern end of Decatur High School's campus, and is owned by the Decatur City Schools. Prior to 1949, the Decatur football team played at the 3,000 person capacity Benson Field that is now a part of Rhodes Ferry Park along the shores of the Tennessee River next to the old Riverview High School. The stadium is named after former coach, and Alabama Sports Hall of Famer, H.L.

Brookhaven Middle School
Brookhaven Middle School is a middle school located in Decatur, Alabama, in the Decatur City Schools school system. It has roughly 700 students enrolled and teaches grades 6 through 8. The schools mascot is the Wild Cats. It is one of three middle schools in the city, the others being Cedar Ridge Middle School and Oak Park Middle School. These three middle schools are also the only three middle schools in the state to offer the IB Middle Years Programme.
