Civil Rights Memorial
The Civil Rights Memorial is a memorial in Montgomery, Alabama to 40 people who died in the struggle for the equal and integrated treatment of all people, regardless of race, during the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. In 1955 the Montgomery Improvement Association, who organized the Montgomery Bus Boycott, was formed in the building. During the Selma to Montgomery marches in 1965, marchers rested at the church on their way to the Capitol.

Loveless Academic Magnet Program (LAMP) is a magnet high school located in Montgomery, Alabama. It has a student body of around 400. LAMP was formerly housed at Sidney Lanier High School, but moved into the former site of Loveless Elementary in 1999. A 9th grade class was added in 2001. In 2008, it was named #20 on U.S. News & World Report's Gold Medal List and #56 in Newsweek's list of the top 1000 high schools in the United States.

Troy University at Dothan
Troy University at Dothan is a satellite campus of Troy University and is located in Dothan, Alabama. The campus has its roots in extension courses offered at Fort Rucker, Alabama in the 1950s. A separate Troy State College teaching center was established at Fort Rucker in the 1960s, which led to the creation of the present-day Dothan Campus. In 1982, the Montgomery and Dothan campuses were granted independent accreditation, and the Troy State University System was formed.
Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex
Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex is a baseball venue in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. It is home to the Alabama State Hornets baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southwestern Athletic Conference. The venue is named for two former Alabama State baseball coaches, Herbert Wheeler and Larry Watkins. Opened in March 2011, the facility has a capacity of 500 spectators.
