Mount Olive, also spelled Mt. Olive is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Jefferson County, Alabama in the suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama. As of the 2010 census, the population of the community is 4,079. Mount Olive is bordered on the south and the east by the town of Gardendale, and in fact, some areas that had previously been in Mount Olive have been annexed into Gardendale over the years. Tabernacle Christian School
Tabernacle Christian School is a private Christian School in Gardendale, Alabama, USA, serving grades K3-12. The current principal is Glenn Dickson, who came to TCS in July 2000. TCS was founded by Dr. Ronald Dabbs, former Pastor of Gardendale Baptist Tabernacle (GBT) in 1974. Since its inception, Tabernacle has been the largest private school in north Jefferson County and one of the largest Christian schools in Birmingham metropolitan area.

The church's senior pastor is Dr. Kevin Hamm, a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky; he has served the church since 2006. The church is located on two campuses in Gardendale. The North Campus, which houses a 2,500-seat sanctuary and features a 125-foot white metal cross outside, is located near the Mount Olive Road interchange on Interstate 65.
