Cullman County, Alabama
Cullman County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama. Its name is in honor of Colonel John G. Cullmann. As of the 2010 census, the population was 80,406. Its county seat is the town of the same name, Cullman, Alabama. It is a "moist" county in terms of availability of alcoholic beverages, which means that the cities of Cullman and Hanceville are wet and the rest of the county is dry. Cullman is served by TV stations and FM radio stations from both Huntsville and Birmingham.

Battle of Day's Gap
The Battle of Day's Gap, fought on April 30, 1863, was the first in a series of American Civil War skirmishes in Cullman County, Alabama, that lasted until May 2, known as Streight's Raid. Commanding the Union forces was Col. Abel Streight; Brig. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest led the Confederate forces.
Southern Benedictine College
Southern Benedictine College was a Catholic Benedictine college in Cullman, Alabama, USA. Called Saint Bernard College, it closed its doors for good in 1979. It was established as a junior college by the Benedictine Society of Alabama as Saint Bernard College in 1929, although it had been conferring Bachelor's degrees since 1893 as a college preparatory school.
Union Hill, Alabama
Union Hill is an unincorporated community in the eastern portion of Morgan County, Alabama, United States. It is one of the highest points on Brindlee Mountain, part of the Appalachian Mountain Range. The area consists of Union Hill School (a K-8 school), Union Hill Grocery and New Canaan Baptist Church. The broadcast tower for WRSA Lite 96.9 Radio Station is also located in Union Hill.

Lacon, Alabama
Lacon was once a thriving little town in extreme southern Morgan County, Alabama, United States. Built at the Northern foot of Burleson Mountain, alongside the railroad track there, a spring and good clay enabled a substantial brickyard.
