Lindisfarne College
Lindisfarne College was a private school or independent school. It was founded in 1891 in Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex, England. In 1940 Lindisfarne College moved from Westcliff to nearby Creeksea Place, but during World War II the building was requisitioned by the military and the school transferred to Newburgh Priory at Coxwold in Yorkshire. In 1950 the school made its final move to Wynnstay in Ruabon, Wrexham, Wales which was once the ancestral home of the Williams-Wynn family.
Ruabon railway station
Ruabon railway station is a combined rail and bus interchange serving Ruabon in Wrexham, Wales. It is the second busiest station in Wrexham in terms of passenger journeys, after the mainline station, Wrexham General. It is on the Shrewsbury to Chester Line, which is part of the former Great Western Railway mainline route from London Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside which lasted until 1967.

Wat's Dyke is a 40 mile (64 km) earthwork running through the northern Welsh Marches from Basingwerk Abbey on the River Dee estuary, passing to the east of Oswestry and onto Maesbury in Shropshire, England. It runs generally parallel to Offa's Dyke, sometimes within a few yards but never more than three miles away.
Wynnstay
Wynnstay was a famous estate in Wales, the family seat of the Wynns. It is located at Ruabon, near Wrexham. During the 17th century, Sir John Wynn, 5th Baronet inherited the Watstay Estate through his marriage to Jane Evans (daughter of Eyton Evans of Watstay), and renamed it the Wynnstay Estate. The gardens were laid out by Capability Brown. Famous occupants of the house and estate included Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 4th Baronet.
Ysgol Rhiwabon
Ysgol Rhiwabon ("Ruabon School") is a historic comprehensive school in Ruabon, Wrexham, Wales for 11-18-year-olds. The current headteacher is Mr Alun Harding. In 2003 the Estyn Report concluded that "Ysgol Rhiwabon provides good opportunities for pupils' academic, personal and social development". In 2009 there were nearly 950 pupils on the school roll. The sixth form has a 98% pass rate at A Level.
Ruabon Grammar School
The Ruabon Grammar School was situated in Ruabon, Denbighshire in north-east Wales. It provided a grammar school education to boys in the parishes of Ruabon and Erbistock. Ruabon Grammar School for Boys became a Denbighshire County secondary school in 1894 and new buildings, including classrooms and laboratories were added in 1896, with further major building works taking place in the 1920s and 1940s. The school's Latin motto was Absque Labore Nihil (English: Nothing Without Labour).
Wynnville Halt railway station
Wynnville Halt was a small railway station located on the Shrewsbury to Chester Line less than a mile north of Ruabon in Wales. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in the nineteen thirties as part of its programme of opening halts to combat emerging competition from bus services.
Johnstown and Hafod railway station
Johnstown & Hafod was a minor station on the Great Western Railway's London to Birkenhead main line. Although the station is gone the railway is still open today as part of the Shrewsbury to Chester Line. The station was situated on the extreme east side of Johnstown and served both there and the adjoining settlement of Rhosllanerchrugog in Wales.
