A473 road
The A473 is a main road linking Pontypridd with Bridgend in Wales. The route begins in Upper Boat just south of Pontypridd, at the junction with the A470 and A4054 roads. It crosses the bridge in an easterly direction and continues along the road until it reaches the hill known locally as Power Station hill until it reaches a roundabout near the village of Tonteg after which it heads in a south westerly direction.

Llantrisant rail accident
On 12 August 1893 a T-link broke beneath a locomotive running down the bank from Merthyr to Cardiff hauling a passenger train. This allowed an underhung spring to break away from the engine and foul the wheels of the leading van, derailing the entire train. The first six carriages ran down an embankment, killing thirteen.

Y Pant School (Welsh: Ysgol Y Pant) is an English medium 11–18 mixed comprehensive school in the village of Pontyclun near Llantrisant, maintained by the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, serving the areas of Pontyclun, Talbot Green, Llantrisant and Llanharry, in Wales. Since the original school being built there have been two main buildings added, the sports hall and the "new block", built in 2006. The school was given best state school in Wales 2003 by a leading newspaper.
Miskin Manor Cricket Club Ground
Miskin Manor Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground in Miskin Manor, Glamorgan. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1949, when Miskin Manor played Glamorgan Club and Ground. The ground held a single Women's One Day International during the 2005 Women's European Championship when Ireland women played the Netherlands women. In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Miskin Manor Cricket Club.
