Llanfyllin is a small town in Powys, Mid Wales, United Kingdom. Llanfyllin's population at the date of the 2001 Census was 1,407, of which over half have knowledge of the Welsh language.
Llanfyllin High School
Ysgol Uwchradd Llanfyllin High School is a bilingual secondary school situated in the Mid-Wales town of Llanfyllin. It currently has around 1000 pupils. The current headteacher is Mr. Carl Mincher.
Llanfyllin railway station
Llanfyllin railway station was the terminal station of the Llanfyllin Branch of Cambrian Railways, serving the Mid-Wales market town of Llanfyllin. The whole line opened from Llanymynech via Llansantffraid, Llanfechain and Bryngwyn in 1863, to enable access to the limestone quarries along the Llanfyllin valley. After leaving Llanymynech station, the LB crossed the Ellesmere Canal and travelled due west to Llanfyllin.
