Battle of Fishguard
The Battle of Fishguard was a military invasion of Great Britain by Revolutionary France during the War of the First Coalition. The brief campaign, which took place between 22 February and 24 February 1797, was the most recent effort by a foreign force that was able to land on Britain, and thus is often referred to as the "last invasion of Britain".
Celtic Trail cycle route
The Celtic Trail is a network of dedicated cycle routes in the National Cycle Network, crossing West, South and Mid Wales, and covering 377 miles in total. It is divided into east and west sections. The west section links Pembroke and Fishguard on the west coast to Swansea, and the east section covers the area from Swansea to Chepstow, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye in the east. It is largely traffic free but sections along the route are still being upgraded and improved.

Theatr Gwaun
Theatr Gwaun is a cinema/theatre in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire. Built in 1885 as a Temperance hall, it was converted into a cinema in the 1920s and still retains many of its original features, including an old fashioned ticket machine. Originally, the building was known as The Studio. It was refurbished in 1994 and now has 180 seats with easy access. The differing forms of entertainment it offers include cinema, jazz, youth theatre and many others.
Ysgol Bro Gwaun
Ysgol Bro Gwaun is a secondary school in the town of Fishguard in north Pembrokeshire. It is an English medium school, but makes substantial use of the Welsh language. Pupils come from mainly Fishguard and Goodwick but also from the villages of Scleddau, Letterston and Newport. Also some pupils come from various farms in the area and farms in the Gwaun valley.
RNAD Trecwn
RNAD Trecwn is a decommissioned Royal Navy Armaments Depot, located south of Fishguard in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Built in 1938 to store and supply naval mines and munitions ordance to the Royal Navy, at its height during the cold war 400 permanent workers were deployed at the site, housed in an MoD built town infrastructure. The site had an onsite narrow gauge 30 railway, built using copper to reduce sparks.
