Cemais (Dyfed)

Cemais (sometimes spelled Kemes after one of the several variations found in medieval orthography) was a cantref of Dyfed, and now part of Pembrokeshire, Wales. It occupied the coastal area between the Teifi estuary and Fishguard, and the northern and southern slopes of the Preseli Hills, and had an area of about 359 km. The Afon Nyfer divided it into two commotes: Is Nyfer to the north and Uwch Nyfer to the south.

That Roundhouse
That Roundhouse is a roundhouse sited in woods within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park near the village of Newport in Wales. It was constructed without planning permission during the winter of 1997/1998 by Tony Wrench and Jane Faith and helpers as part of the then secret Brithdir Mawr intentional community.
Carreg Coetan Arthur
Carreg Coetan Arthur is the name of a neolithic dolmen near Newport in North Pembrokeshire, Wales. Carreg Coetan Arthur dates from around 3000 BC and is the remains of a Neolithic burial chamber (also known as a quoit). The remains consist of a 4 metre long capstone on smaller supporting rocks. It would have originally been earth covered but this has eroded away. The site is managed by Cadw and it is a scheduled ancient monument.
Cemais Is Nyfer
Cemais Is Nyfer was a commote in the Dyfed cantref of Cemais, Wales. It consisted of the territory between the rivers Nyfer and Teifi, and comprised the parishes of Eglwyswrw, Monington, St. Dogmaels, Llanfair-Nant-Gwyn, Llantood, Moylgrove and Bayvil, and parts of Nevern and Meline. Its area was about 100 km². Its civil and ecclesiastical headquarters were at Nevern. It ceased to be significant at the time of the Acts of Union, its functions being taken over by the Hundred of Cemais.
