The Folly Tower
The Folly Tower - - is a folly located within the grounds of a working farm, close to Pontypool Park, Torfaen, South Wales. It is a prominent local landmark above the A4042 Pontypool to Abergavenny road and overlooks Pontypool to the west and rural Monmouthshire to the east. The Folly is octagonal in shape and roughly 40 foot high and is approximately 1,000 ft (over 300 m) above sea level on the eastern hill range of the Eastern Valley of Monmouthshire, just south of Mynydd Garn-Wen.

Pontypool and New Inn railway station (Welsh: Pont-y-pŵl a New Inn) is situated to the south east of Pontypool town centre between the town and the suburb of New Inn, Wales. It is part of the British railway system owned by Network Rail and is operated by Arriva Trains Wales. It lies on the Welsh Marches Line line from Newport to Crewe.
A4042 road
The A4042 is a trunk road that runs from Abergavenny to Newport in the United Kingdom. It begins on junction of the A40 and A465 south of Abergavenny and then travels southwards towards Little Mill north of Pontypool. This section is a single carriageway and is notoriously winding and undulating. From Little Mill onwards the road becomes a dual carriageway, passing Pontypool and Cwmbran before crossing the city boundary into Newport.
