Mynydd Llandygai
Mynydd Llandygai (from Welsh mynydd "mountain", Llandygai "Church of St Tegai") is a small, partly forested hill in Gwynedd, North Wales. It forms the start of the Glyderau ridge. It is also the name of the quarry village at the base of the hill situated at the edge of Snowdonia National Park at grid reference SH600656. The village lies at about 1,000 feet above sea level and gets strong winds and above average rainfall.

Penrhyn Quarry
The Penrhyn Slate Quarry is a slate quarry located near Bethesda in north Wales. At the end of the nineteenth century it was the world's largest slate quarry; the main pit is nearly 1 mile long and 1,200 feet deep, and it was worked by nearly 3,000 quarrymen. It has since been superseded in size by slate quarries in China, Spain and the USA. Penrhyn is still Britain's largest slate quarry but its workforce is now nearer 200.

Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen
Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen is a school situated in Bethesda in the Ogwen Valley, with around 400 pupils. Some of the buildings date from 1895 when a grammar school was established here, but the present comprehensive school dates from 1951. The school is fed by primary schools in the surrounding villages: Ysgol Llanllechid, Ysgol Pen y Bryn, Ysgol Rhiwlas, Ysgol Tregarth and Ysgol Bodfeurig. The school has an intake of 70-90 pupils per year. Around a quarter of pupils will go on to study A-Levels.
Glasinfryn
Glasinfryn is a small village in Gwynedd, Wales, between the village of Tregarth and the city of Bangor, Gwynedd. The village is residential in nature but with many outlying farms. It is noted, perhaps, for having two bridges, one carries the old Bethesda, Wales to Bangor railway trackbed on an attractive Victorian architecture viaduct, the other is a concrete flyover built in the 1980s carrying the A55.
