Trawsfynydd
Trawsfynydd is a village in Gwynedd, Wales, adjacent to the A470 north of Dolgellau near Blaenau Ffestiniog. The total parish area is 12,830 hectares with a population of just under 1000 – the area is therefore sparsely populated with each hectare inhabited by an average 0.07 persons. The village is typical of several Welsh villages. There is one grocer shop, one public house, a newsagent, a chemist, garage, petrol service station and a branch of a large agricultural merchants.

Llyn Trawsfynydd is a large man-made reservoir situated near the village of Trawsfynydd in Gwynedd, North Wales. With a total surface area of 4.8 km² (1,180 acres) the reservoir is slightly more extensive than Wales's largest natural lake, Llyn Tegid (which covers an area of 4.5 km²).
Trawsfynydd Lake Halt railway station
Trawsfynydd Lake Halt railway station was a railway station on the Great Western Railway's Bala Ffestiniog Line in Wales. It closed to passenger services on 2 January 1960 and freight services on 27 January 1961. The line as far as the former halt was however reopened in 1964 for freight traffic to the nearby Trawsfynydd nuclear power station. It remained in use until 1998; the line is still in situ but disused. The halt's platform remains in situ although heavily overgrown.
Maentwrog Road railway station
Maentwrog Road railway station was a railway station on the Great Western Railway's Bala Ffestiniog Line in Wales. It closed to passenger services on 2 January 1960 and freight services on 27 January 1961. Despite its name, it lies some 2 miles from the village of Maentwrog. The line through the station site was reopened in 1964 for freight to the nearby Trawsfynydd nuclear power station.
Trawsfynydd railway station
Trawsfynydd railway station was a railway station on the Great Western Railway's Bala Ffestiniog Line in Wales. It closed to passenger services on 2 January 1960 and freight services on 27 January 1961. The station was unusual in having separate platforms for the nearby army camp. The station building is now a private residence. The adjoining goods yard and military station site are in agricultural use.
Ffestiniog transmitting station
The Ffestiniog transmitting station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility located on the slopes of Mynydd Maentwrog about 3 km south of the town of Llan Ffestiniog, in Gwynedd, Wales. It was originally built by the IBA, entering service in early 1969 acting as a BBC and ITV relay transmitter for the now-defunct 405-line VHF television system.
