Beddgelert
Beddgelert (English: Gelert's Grave), is a village and community in the Snowdonia area of Gwynedd, Wales. It is reputed to be named after the legendary hound Gelert.
Welsh Highland Railway
The Welsh Highland Railway (WHR) is a 25-mile long restored narrow gauge heritage railway in the Welsh county of Gwynedd, operating from Caernarfon to Porthmadog, and passing through a number of popular tourist destinations including Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass. At Porthmadog it connects with the Ffestiniog Railway and to the short Welsh Highland Heritage Railway. In Porthmadog it uses the United Kingdom's only mixed gauge flat rail crossing.
Yr Aran
Yr Aran is a mountain peak on a ridge radiating south from Snowdon, Wales' highest mountain, with beautiful views of the summit of Snowdon, Moel Hebog and the Nantlle Ridge. Although no paths are marked on maps, the ascent is easily made as a detour from the Rhyd Ddu path or the Watkin Path up Snowdon.
Llyn Cwellyn
Llyn Cwellyn (Llyn Quellyn in some antiquated texts) is a reservoir in North Wales which supplies drinking water to parts of Gwynedd and Anglesey. It lies on the Afon Gwyrfai in Nant y Betws between the Snowdon Massif and Mynydd Mawr in the northern part of Snowdonia National Park. It has an area of 215 acres, and is over 120 ft deep. At the southern end is the small village of Rhyd Ddu.

Y Garn (Nantlle Ridge)
Y Garn is a top of Mynydd Drws-y-Coed in Snowdonia, north Wales and is the easterly end of the Nantlle Ridge. It has steep north facing cliffs, the summit area being the highest point on a broad rocky plateau. The summit plateau contains two large shelter cairns.
Afon Meillionen
Afon Meillionen (Welsh for Clover River) is a small river near Beddgelert in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. It flows down Cwm Meillionen, a small valley which lies on the north-eastern side of Moel yr Ogof (655m). Much of the river's catchment area lies within Beddgelert Forest. Afon Meillionen is a tributary of the Afon Colwyn, which itself joins the Afon Glaslyn in the village of Beddgelert.
Mynydd Drws-y-Coed
Mynydd Drws-y-Coed is a peak on the Nantlle Ridge in Snowdonia, north Wales. It is located at the easterly end of the ridge, and is a subsidiary summit of Trum y Ddysgl. It has steep south facing cliffs, the summit area being the highest point on a thin ridge. The west side is very rocky and airy, and some scrambling is needed to attain the summit. A good head for heights will also be needed on the exposed regions.
