Cwm-y-Glo was a railway station located in Cwm y Glo, Gwynedd, at the north-west end of Llyn Padarn. This station was closed for regular passenger services in 1932 but may have been used for occasional excursion trains until December 1964. The station was demolished in the 1970s when the realigned A4086 road was built along the trackbed of the former track. A Public House called the Railway Inn is all that remains of the station as was, this pub is now known as Y Fricsan.

Brynrefail, Gwynedd
Brynrefail is a small village in Gwynedd, Wales that straddles the A4244 road roughly between Deiniolen and Llanberis. The village is in Wales (European Parliament constituency) the Caernarfon (UK Parliament constituency) and the Gwynedd Council Ward of Penisarwaen. Brynrefail stands a short walk from the northern shore of Llyn Padarn lake. Afon Rhythallt leaves the lake at this point becoming Afon Seiont downstream at Pont Rhythallt, Llanrug before meandering its historic way to the sea.
Afon Rhythallt
The River Rhythallt is a river in Gwynedd, North Wales whose source is Llyn Padarn. It flows in a northwesterly direction past the village of Brynrefail, Gwynedd and changes its name to Afon Seiont downstream of Pont Rhythallt in Llanrug. The Afon Seiont eventually reaches the sea at Caernarfon. The river has a broad flood plain which occasionally threatens homes in the village of Cwm-y-Glo.
Cwm y Glo
Cwm y Glo is a small village in Wales, some 4 miles to the east of Caernarfon, between Llanberis and Llanrug. It is in the Arfon Parliamentary constituency and the Gwynedd Council electoral ward. The focus of the village is on the original roadway, now bypassed by the A4086 road, which follows the approximate line of the former railway.
Bryn Bras Castle
Bryn Bras Castle is a Grade II* Listed Building, located on the old road between Llanrug and Llanberis known locally as the Clegir road, in Caernarfon, Gwynedd. The castle is more of a country or stately home than a traditional Welsh Castle. The house was built between 1829 and 1835 by Thomas Hopper on the site of an earlier structure. The site of the first motorcycle Dragon rally in 1962, the house has been converted into luxury holiday apartments.
