Abermorddu
Abermorddu is a village in the county of Flintshire, Wales. Approximately 50 miles from Wrexham and situated on the A541 road, it is contiguous with the village of Caergwrle and closely related to the village of Hope. The local secondary school is Castell Alun High School.

Caergwrle Castle
Caergwrle Castle, also known as Queen's Hope in scholarly texts, is located in the town of Caergwrle, in Flintshire, Wales. It was the final castle to be built by Welsh rulers before the loss of Welsh independence in 1283. Built on a steep hill near the Anglo-Welsh border, the castle has views which extend far into Cheshire.
Cymau
Cymau is a small village situated in the community of Llanfynydd, Flintshire on the edge of the mountains of north-east Wales. Its name is derived from the Welsh word cymau, an old form of the plural for cwm, "valley" or "hollow". The village is located on the side of Hope Mountain, a land feature that can be seen for miles around. Neighbouring villages include Ffrith to the west and Brymbo to the south. The nearest towns are Wrexham to the south-east and Mold towards the north-west.

Cefn-y-bedd is on the A541 road to the south of its junction with the A550 road at Abermorddu. The village is served by Cefn-y-Bedd railway station on the Borderlands Line, linking Wrexham and Bidston on the Wirral Peninsula.
Alyn Waters
Alyn Waters is a country park situated in the county of Wrexham, North East Wales and managed by Wrexham County Borough. Alyn Waters takes its name from the River Alyn which passes through the park and a footpath runs parallel to the river. There are many paths and trails crossing the park. The park is split in two by the river with one part in Gwersyllt and the other part in Llay. Alyn Waters includes a cafe open all year round on the Gwersyllt side and Llay side has a playground.
