Hawarden Castle (medieval)
Hawarden Old Castle is a medieval castle near Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales. Its oldest origins are indeterminate and the oldest fortifications on this site may date back to the Iron Age, later being used as a Norman Motte-and-bailey castle which was reportedly destroyed and replaced in a short period during the 13th century. The castle played an important role during the Welsh struggle for independence in the 13th century.
Hawarden Castle (18th century)
New Hawarden Castle, in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales was the estate of former British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone, which previously belonged to the family of his wife, Catherine Glynne. It was built in 1752. Gladstone occupied this home until his death there in 1898. The castle and estate are still a private residence (although some of the grounds are open to the public) and are still owned by the Gladstone family (the current proprietor is Sir William Gladstone).

All Saints Church, Higher Kinnerton
All Saints Church, Higher Kinnerton is in Main Road, Higher Kinnerton, Flintshire, Wales. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester, and the deanery of Chester. The church was designed by Douglas & Fordham and built in 1893. It is constructed in Ruabon brick. In addition to a central spire, the chancel is carried up into another pyramidal spire. Construction on an extension to the church building was started in 2007.
Bretton Bridge
Bretton Bridge is a bridge in Flintshire, Wales. Situated between the villages of Broughton and Bretton, Bretton Bridge used to be a back-road link, often used to avoid the congestion on the A5104 (Saltney Straight). The bridge still exists today, although its use has changed from a road to a public footpath, linking the lower part of Broughton village with Broughton Park. The bridge itself used to act as a railway bridge when the line between Broughton and Kinnerton existed.

Broughton Hall was a large country house that was located in Broughton, Flintshire, Wales. It was demolished in the early 1970s and houses now exist on the site. The only indication of its existence is the main road through the village; Broughton Hall Road.
Lower Kinnerton Hall
Lower Kinnerton Hall, also known as Bridge Farmhouse, stands adjacent to the England-Wales border to the west of the village of Lower Kinnerton, Cheshire, England. The house is dated 1685, and carries the initials TTET. Attached to it is a shippon (cattle-shed) dating from the 18th century. A wing was added to the rear in the 19th century. The house is constructed in brown brick with stone dressings, and has a slated roof. It is in two storeys and its entrance front has five bays.
