Dolgarrog railway station
Dolgarrog railway station is an unstaffed halt, and a request stop, on the Conwy Valley Line from Llandudno Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog and is located on the east bank of the River Conwy just across the A470 road from Plas Maenan, which was the home of Henry Jack, the Managing Director of the Aluminium Corporation from 1916 to 1927, together with its associated enterprises including the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway.
Dolgarrog
Dolgarrog is a small village in the Conwy County Borough in Wales situated between Llanrwst and Conwy, very close to the Conwy River. The village is well known for its industrial history since the 18th century and the Eigiau dam disaster, which occurred in 1925. The population was 414 at the 2001 Census. The village is served by Dolgarrog railway station.
Afon Ddu
Afon Ddu (Welsh for black river) is the name of several rivers in Snowdonia, North Wales. One flows from Llyn Cowlyd on the south-eastern edge of the Carneddau range to join the river Conwy, passing Pont Dolgarrog on the B5106 road, just south of the village of Dolgarrog. The gorge cut by the river at this point is popular for gorge walking.
Afon Porth-llwyd
Afon Porth-llwyd is a river in Snowdonia, North Wales. It flows from Llyn Eigiau on the south-eastern edge of the Carneddau range to join the river Conwy. Its waters are trapped at Coedty reservoir before flowing down to pass under Pont Newydd in Dolgarrog. From Coedty reservoir some water is also diverted to Dolgarrog Power station (along with water from Llyn Cowlyd via large black pipes.
Afon Dulyn
Afon Dulyn is the outflow from Llyn Dulyn, a lake in the Carneddau mountains in North Wales. It is a tributary of the river Conwy. Just below Afon Dulyn the river is joined by Afon Melynllyn, a small river flowing from neighbouring Llyn Melynllyn. The river does not carry a great deal of water because water is transferred from Llyn Dulyn to the reservoirs of Llyn Eigiau and Llyn Cowlyd.

Cedryn Quarry Tramway
The Cedryn Quarry Tramway (later largely used as the route of the Eigiau Tramway) was an industrial narrow gauge railway that connected the slate quarries at Cedryn and Cwm Eigiau to the quays at Dolgarrog in the Conwy valley.
Coed Dolgarrog National Nature Reserve
Coed Dolgarrog National Nature Reserve is a nature reserve which covers the steep western side of the Conwy Valley, around 10 kilometres south of Conwy and 6.5 kilometres north of Llanrwst.
