Sandy, Carmarthenshire
Sandy is an area in the county of Carmarthenshire in south-west Wales, on the western border of Llanelli town, about 5 miles east of Burry Port. The area is home to Sandy Water Park, a large project which has seen acres of disused industrial land converted to parkland and a lake. It now forms a part of the more recent Millennium Coastal Park. Sandy is adjacent to Stradey, which once contained the famous Stradey Park stadium, former home to Llanelli RFC and the Llanelli Scarlets.
Llanelli Rural
Llanelli Rural is a community in Carmarthenshire, Wales. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 21,043. Despite its name it covers large parts of the Llanelli urban area, including Bynea, Llwynhendy, Cefncaeau, Pemberton, Bryn, Penceiliogi, Dafen, Felinfoel, Swiss Valley, along with the villages of Pont-Henri, Carway, Pwll, and Five Roads, as well as a number of hamlets. The community entirely surrounds Llanelli, except at sea.
District of Llanelli
The Borough of Llanelli was one of thirty-seven local government districts in Wales from 1974 to 1996. It was the smallest of six districts in the newly-created county of Dyfed, and was formed under the Local Government Act 1972 by a merger of the municipal boroughs of Llanelli and Kidwelly, Burry Port urban district and Llanelli Rural District all in the former administrative county of Carmarthenshire.
Stradey Park
Stradey Park was a rugby union stadium located near the centre of the town of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It was the home of the Scarlets region and Llanelli RFC rugby teams. The stadium was a combination of seating and standing with a total capacity of 10,800. With the Scarlets having moved to Parc y Scarlets, Stradey Park was demolished in 2010 and is to be replaced with housing.
Furnace, Carmarthenshire
Furnace is a village and an area of the town of Llanelli in the county of Carmarthenshire, Wales. Furnace is named after the furnace built by Alexander Raby before the village was actually established. The main furnace still remains and is open to the public as a local heritage site. It is under the authority of Carmarthenshire County Council and Llanelli Rural Council.
Llanelly House
Llanelly House is one of the most notable historic properties in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales—an excellent example of an early-18th-century Georgian town house. It had been described as "the most outstanding domestic building of its early Georgian type to survive in South Wales. " The then Member of Parliament for Carmarthenshire, Sir Thomas Stepney of the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire Stepney Family, originally built the house in 1714.

North Dock, Llanelli
North Dock is a former industrial dock in Llanelli, West Wales used mainly for exporting coal and tin plate from South Wales. It is also the name of the area immediately surrounding the dock. Llanelli Beach is also known locally as North Dock. With the decline of heavy industry in south Wales, the dock is no longer used to export goods, and has been redeveloped for leisure.

The A4214 is a ring-road around Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, west Wales. The route begins at the junction with Hall Street and Gelli-onn, on the A484 road in northwest Llanelli. At this point,the road is a dual-carriageway as it heads south-east along Hall Street to the Public Library, then south-west along Church Street and past the town council, government buildings, then south-east again past the town hall and county council offices.
