Mornington Meadows
Mornington Meadows is a residential area of the town of Caerphilly, south Wales. The name comes from the pastoral land and hay meadows which once covered this area. It borders Lansbury Park to the north and pastoral land to the South. It is within the community council of Van, Caerphilly and the electoral ward of St. James. The estate was constructed in the 1970s. All residential roads within the estate are linked into a circular internal ring road - Pen Y Cae.

It neighbours Bedwas and Machen, and forms a council ward in conjunction with those communities.
Cwmfelinfach
Cwmfelinfach is a small village located in the Sirhowy valley of south-east Wales. It is part of the district of Caerphilly within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire. Located north of Wattsville and about 5 miles north of the nearest town Risca and south of Blackwood. Cwmfelinfach was home to a coal mining community during the early to mid 20th century. The colliery, known as "Nine Mile Point", opened about 1905 and closed in 1964.

Caerphilly railway works in Caerphilly in the county of Glamorgan was the only main railway works in Wales It was built for the Rhymney Railway in 1899 and taken over by the Great Western Railway at amalgamation in 1923. Much of its initial work was in refurbishing older locomotives with new boilers and covered cabs. In 1906, C.H. Riches who had been at Gorton locomotive works became Locomotive Superintendent and appointed J.H. Sellars as Works Foreman.
Rudry
Rudry is a small village and community located to the east of Caerphilly in Wales. As a community Rudry contains not only the village of Rudry, but also the villages of Draethen, Garth and Waterloo. The village is a rural location, surrounded by woods with walks along the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Walk. Its main attraction being the Maenllwyd Inn. It is thought that Oliver Cromwell took shelter in the village church.
Nine Mile Point Colliery
Nine Mile Point colliery was a coal mine at Cwmfelinfach in the South Wales Valleys, originally known as "Coronation Colliery", and constructed between 1902 and 1905. The deepest shaft was 1,176 feet deep. Seven men were killed on 13th August 1904 during the establishment of the mine. It was renamed Nine Mile Point as that was the distance of the tramroad from the edge of Lord Tredegar's boundary in Newport to the colliery.

Bedwas Navigation Colliery
Bedwas Navigation Colliery was a coal mine that was located in the small Welsh village of Bedwas. Situated 2 miles north of Caerphilly, the colliery opened in 1913 and in 1939 produced 675,000 tonnes of coal in single year. The colliery closed after the miners' strike of 1984 - 1985.
