Pontycymer
Pontycymer is a former mining village in Wales. It is situated in the Garw Valley, in Bridgend County Borough . The name, sometimes spelled "Pontycymmer", is Welsh: pont signifies "bridge", while cymer signifies "confluence" of watercourses. Original signs for the village use the incorrect spelling of Pontycymmer. Recent signage and postoffice records have now been changed to the correct spelling.

Nantymoel (Nant-y-moel) (Welsh for Stream from the bare mountain) is a village and includes the formerly separate village of Pricetown in the county borough of Bridgend, Wales on the River Ogmore, and is one of the constituent villages of the Ogmore Valley. It is bordered by the village of Wyndham to the south and by the Bwlch y Clawdd hill to the north.

Blackmill
Blackmill is a small village within Bridgend County Borough Council, in south Wales. It is located at the confluence of the Ogwr Fach and Ogmore rivers, around 8 km north-east of Bridgend town and 5 km west of Gilfach Goch. It is sited within the community (parish) of Ogmore Valley. The settlement was the site of a Wesleyan Methodist chapel which was built in 1885, although as of 2005 the building was no longer in use as a church and was due to be converted to housing.
Price Town
Price Town is situated 9 miles north of the County Town of Bridgend on the A4061 road in the upper reaches of the Cwm Ogwr Fawr, Wales. It was developed to provide accommodation for the rapidly increasing work force of the Wyndham and Ocean Western Collieries.
