Drymen
Drymen {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:56.06496|N|4.45107|W|region:GB_source:enwiki-osgb36(NS475885)|||| |primary |name= }} is a village in Stirling district in central Scotland. Drymen lies to the west of the Campsie Fells and enjoys views to Dumgoyne on the east and to Loch Lomond on the west. The Queen Elizabeth Forest reaches down to the village edge, and the whole area is part of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park (the first National Park in Scotland).
Buchanan Smithy
Buchanan Smithy is a small village in Buchanan in the far west of Stirling, Scotland. The current village was mostly purpose-built in the 18th century for the estate workers of James Graham, 3rd Duke of Montrose, who lived at nearby Buchanan Castle. The name "Smithy" arose due to the presence of three blacksmiths there. Today the main local industries are forestry, agriculture and tourism.

Clan Buchanan is an Armigerous Scottish clan whose origins are said to lie in the 1225 grant of lands on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond to clergyman Sir Absalon of Buchanan by the Earl of Lennox.
Croftamie
Croftamie is a small village near Drymen in Scotland. The village was traditionally part of Dunbartonshire, but a minor change in boundaries means that it is now under Stirling Council. It was on the Forth and Clyde Junction Railway, and Drymen station was in the village.
Buchanan Castle
Buchanan Castle is a large house in Stirlingshire, Scotland, and serves today as the seat of the Clan Graham. Located west of the village of Drymen, the house was built by the 4th Duke of Montrose in 1854. The original structure, the ancestral seat of the Clan Buchanan, had burned down in 1852, and Montrose commissioned William Burn to replace it. Burn designed an extravagant manor in the Scottish baronial style, enclosing an L-plan tower in a clutch of turrets, bartizans and stepped gables.
Rob Roy Way
The Rob Roy Way is a Scottish long distance footpath that runs from Drymen to Pitlochry. The path was created in 2002 and runs for 92 miles . The route crosses the Highland Boundary Fault, a geological fault where the Highlands meet the Lowlands. It provides spectacular views overlooking Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earn, Loch Venachar and Loch Tay. The way takes its name from Rob Roy MacGregor, a famous Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th century.
