Inchinnan (Innis Fhionghain in Scottish Gaelic) is a small village in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The village is located on the main A8 road between Renfrew and Greenock, just southeast of the town of Erskine.

India of Inchinnan is now a commercial site in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, Scotland, that was formerly used for various industrial uses. It includes the former office block of India Tyres of Inchinnan - a Category A listed building in the art deco style, designed in 1930 by Thomas Wallis of Wallis, Gilbert and Partners. The office block was similar in style to Wallis, Gilbert and Partners' Hoover Building in Perivale, London. There is also a Rolls Royce factory.

Glasgow Airport railway station was a planned railway station to serve Glasgow International Airport, Scotland. Originally intended to open in 2010, the station would have been the western terminus of the Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL) before it was cancelled in 2009. Two trains an hour would have run between Glasgow Airport and Glasgow Central stations, being proposed to be operated by First ScotRail.

The 19:40 Inverclyde Line service from Glasgow Central to Wemyss Bay, operated by two Class 303 trains, crossed from the Down Fast Line to the Down Gourock Line under clear signals at Wallneuk Junction immediately to the east of Paisley Gilmour Street railway station.
Coats Observatory
Coats Observatory is one of four public observatories operating in the UK, all of which are sited in Scotland. Coats Observatory is located in Oakshaw Street West, Paisley and was designed by Glasgow architect John Honeyman, with funding coming from local thread manufacturer Thomas Coats. The observatory was operated by the Paisley Philosophical Institution, which had been founded on 8 October 1808.
2007 Glasgow International Airport attack
The 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack was a terrorist attack which occurred on Saturday 30 June 2007, at 15:11 BST, when a dark green Jeep Cherokee loaded with propane canisters was driven into the glass doors of the Glasgow International Airport terminal and set ablaze. It was the first terrorist attack to take place in Scotland since the Lockerbie bombing in 1988.

The Glen Cinema Disaster was a fire in a cinema in Paisley, Scotland on 31 December 1929 which killed 69 children and injured 40; the final death toll was 71. It is considered one of Scotland's worst human disasters.
