Paisley and Renfrewshire South (UK Parliament constituency)
Paisley and Renfrewshire South is a constituency of the British House of Commons, located in Renfrewshire, Scotland to the southwest of Glasgow. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) at least once every five years using the first-past-the-post system of voting. The seat was formed in 2005, and is a safe seat for the Labour Party, who currently have a majority of over 16,000.

Renfrewshire (historic)
Renfrewshire or the County of Renfrew is a registration county, the Lieutenancy area of the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire, and one of the counties of Scotland used for local government until 1975. Renfrewshire is located in the West Central Lowlands of Scotland, south of the River Clyde, opposite Dunbartonshire and divided from Argyllshire by the Firth of Clyde. The term Greater Renfrewshire is now occasionally used for this area.
Linwood High School
Linwood High School is a non-denominational comprehensive state secondary school in Linwood, Renfrewshire. The original school building was constructed in 1965 and demolished in 2006 for a new school to be constructed on the same site. Originally Renfrewshire council had planned on merging Linwood High school with nearby Gryffe High School in Houston to form a 1500 pupil campus, however plans were rejected after local protests by parents.
Inkerman, Renfrewshire
Inkerman was a small hamlet set up in 1858 in the Abbey Parish of Paisley to house ironstone miners. Later employment came from ancillary operations, including shale coal and oilworks. There were seven pits in all in Inkerman. The hamlet was named after a recent (1854) British military victory, the Battle of Inkerman, in the Crimean War. Similarly, the nearby Balaklava settlement housed miners for the Clippens mines from 1855.
Johnstone Castle
Johnstone Castle is a structure and former mansion in the town of Johnstone in Renfrewshire, Scotland. It belonged to the Houstouns of Milliken, who acquired the estate of Easter Cochrane in 1773. The original structure was substantially enlarged in 1771 and 1812 by George Houstoun, who had the structure remodelled in a castellated style complete with a turret at the left hand of the front elevation, possibly by the architect James Gillespie Graham.
Inverclyde District
Inverclyde or Inverclyde District was one of nineteen local government districts in the Strathclyde region of Scotland, which existed between 1975 and 1996. The district was formed by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 from part of the county of Renfrewshire. The boundaries remain the same as those of the modern council area of Inverclyde. The remaining parts of the County of Renfrew (Renfrewshire) where divided between two other districts: Eastwood and Renfrew District.
