A80 road (Great Britain)
The A80 is a road in Scotland, running from the A8 to Moodiesburn, north east of Glasgow. Prior to the M80 opening, the A80 was one of Scotland's busiest trunk roads.
Cumbernauld Village
Cumbernauld Village (often referred to locally as just the Village) is an area of the new town of Cumbernauld. Whilst Cumbernauld is a new town, having been first planned in 1956, the Village itself has a pre-mediaeval history, with a Roman settlement being built in the area due to its proximity to the Antonine Wall. After the Roman period the settlement remained and grew to such an extent that the Comyn family built their chapel there.
Greenfaulds
Greenfaulds is an area of the town of Cumbernauld in Scotland. Greenfaulds was a half council half private estate built in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The main road through the estate is a ring road with the private sector being on the outside of the road and the council side being in the inside. Although originally council houses, a large portion of the housing stock are now privately owned.
Carbrain, Cumbernauld
Carbrain is a neighborhood in the Scottish new town of Cumbernauld in North Lanarkshire. Construction of Cumbernauld began in 1963, and most areas of Carbrain were inhabited by the early 1970s. For the first several years, Carbrain was considered to be highly desirable as an escape from poor housing and lack of employment opportunities in the Glasgow area. As newer developments have been constructed in the Cumbernauld area, Carbrain has fallen into disrepair.

Revival FM is a Christian based community radio station in Scotland, operating under a Community Radio Licence. The station is located in Cumbernauld near Glasgow and commenced broadcasting on 100.8FM across west central Scotland on 3 September 2006. An initial 5 year licence was awarded by Ofcom (Office Of Communications) to permit broadcasts until September 2011.
Cumbernauld Town Centre
Cumbernauld town centre is the main shopping centre for the New town of Cumbernauld, Scotland. It is widely accepted as the UK's first shopping mall and was the world's first multi-level, multi-function, covered town centre http://www. open2. net/modernity/3_10. htm, within a single structure. The centre has now been expanded by the newly completed addition of the Antonine Centre. The new centre links to the existing one via walkways and lifts.
Antonine Centre
The Antonine Centre is a Shopping Centre in the Scottish New Town of Cumbernauld. The Centre has 350,000 sq ft of retail space including a 100,000 sq ft Tesco Extra (in a separate building to the main centre, attached by walkways) and a 43,000 sq ft Dunnes. The centre was expected to open sometime in May 2007, but instead opened on 6 June 2007, following delays caused by planning disputed over the pedestrian walkways connecting the complex to existing buildings.
Our Lady's High, Cumbernauld
Our Lady's High School is a six year Roman Catholic co-educational comprehensive school which opened in 1968. It caters for pupils living in Cumbernauld, Muirhead, Cardowan and Stepps and in addition to pupils from Condorrat, Dullatur, Moodiesburn and Castlecary. The school's emblem is a post-modern artistic recreation of the Virgin and child.
Cumbernauld College
Cumbernauld College is a higher and further education college in central Scotland. Cumbernauld College serves the communities of both North Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire, and has campuses in both Cumbernauld and Kirkintilloch, as well as further key outreach centres in Kilsyth, Airdrie, Wishaw, Coatbridge, Lennoxtown, Croy, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs and Moodiesburn.
Greenfaulds High School
Greenfaulds High School is a mixed, non-denominational six-year comprehensive secondary school, which was opened in 1971. Greenfaulds is situated in the west of Cumbernauld and provides a service to the Greenfaulds, Ravenswood, Condorrat, Westfield, Eastfield, Balloch areas and parts of Seafar. The head teacher is Dr John A May. Currently there are 1,350 pupils at the school, which has a maximum capacity of 1,450.
