North Lanarkshire
North Lanarkshire (Scots: North Lanrikshire, Scottish Gaelic: Siorrachd Lannraig a Tuath) is one of 32 council areas of Scotland. It borders onto the northeast of the City of Glasgow and contains much of Glasgow's suburbs and commuter towns and villages. It also borders East Dunbartonshire, Falkirk, Stirling, South Lanarkshire and West Lothian. The council covers parts of the traditional counties of Dunbartonshire, Lanarkshire and Stirlingshire.
Coltness
Coltness is the largest suburb of the town of Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The 2001 census indicated a population of almost 4,500. Lying to the north east of the town centre, Coltness is an area of mainly local authority built housing, divided into the two distinct areas of East and West Coltness. The two areas have their own unique identities and are separated by an area of woodland, with a deep gorge running through it.

Coltness High School is a comprehensive school that is located in Coltness, the largest suburb of Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The school was opened in 1966, and currently has a roll of under 1,000. The school serves the Wishaw catchment area of Coltness and Cambusnethan, as well as settlements outside of Wishaw such as Cleland. The school has undergone a series of renovation works, in order for it to be more modernised, reducing the likelihood of closure.
Dalziel Park
Dalziel Park is an area located between the small villages of Carfin, Cleland and Newarthill in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Other nearby settlements include the large town of Motherwell and the new town of Ravenscraig. The area consists of an estate, a sports facility (regarded as one of the best in Scotland), a golf course and a clubhouse. It is also used as the home venue for the local rugby team Dalziel, as well as the training ground for the local professional football team Motherwell.
Dimsdale (Wishaw)
Dimsdale is a residential area of Wishaw, North Lanarkshire. It is located next to fellow Wishaw suburbs Greenhead and Waterloo. Dimsdale is somewhat of a modern housing district of Wishaw, as a lot of new low-density houses have recently been built in the area. Dimsdale is located between the A721 (that connects to Wishaw Main Street and the busy A71 road), and the Wishaw Deviation Line (that connects to the West Coast Main Line, though no passenger service trains stop in the suburb).
St. Ignatius Church, Wishaw
St Ignatius Church is a parish church of the Roman Catholic Church, located in the town of Wishaw in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is within the Diocese of Motherwell. The church building was constructed in 1865, and is a category A listed building. It was designed by George Goldie in a Gothic style. The Church now holds about 80-100 residents every Saturday and Sunday.
Beltane Park
Beltane Park is a football ground located in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of Central Division Two side Wishaw Juniors. The ground was formed after years of Wishaw Juniors playing outwith the town and at the nearby Wishaw Sports Centre. In 2010, Wishaw Juniors secured a 10-year lease to use Beltane Park as the home ground.
