Victoria Park, Buckie
Victoria Park is a football ground in Buckie in north-east Scotland, which is the home ground of Highland Football League side Buckie Thistle F.C.. It is located at the junction of Midmar Street and South Pringle Street, 0.5 miles from the town centre. The ground has a capacity of 5,000 with 400 seated.
Battle of Bauds
Battle of Bauds was a battle fought in 962 in an area known as the Bauds, south of Findochty and West of Cullen, Scotland between Scotland under king Indulf, and Norse pirates. The Vikings had been raiding and burning through Scotland, and had won numerous victorious skirmishes against the Scots, including the Battle of Dollar. However, in this battle, the Norsemen were defeated. Afterwards, Norse control in Scotland fell apart. However, Indulf was killed in the battle.
Inchgower distillery
Inchgower distillery is a whisky distillery producing a single malt of the same name located on the outskirts of Buckie, Moray, Scotland. The distillery was built in 1871 to replace Tochineal Distillery but liquidated in 1903. Buckie Council purchased the concern in 1936 and ownership was transferred to Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd in 1938 and indeed to this very day the Bell's logo is used in the advertising of Inchgower. The current operator of Inchgower is Diageo.
Ianstown
Ianstown is a small village on the Moray Firth in Scotland. It lies within the council area of Moray. Its coordinates are {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:57.68|N|02.95|W|region:GB|||| | |name= }} and its OS grid reference is NJ4366. The town of Buckie lies to the west of Ianstown.
Strathlene
Strathlene is an area between Buckie and Findochty which has a caravan site facing onto the Moray Firth. At one time the Strathlene House Hotel, a former mansion, was a popular local venue with a pleasant beach leading directly off its lawn. There was also a large outdoor seawater swimming pool which was opened in 1932 situated next to the hotel on the shoreline.
Strathlene Golf Course
Strathlene at Findochty, near Buckie, is one of the oldest golf courses in Scotland. It was established in 1877 and is home to Strathlene Buckie Golf Club. http://www. strathlenegolfclub. co. uk/ The ground was gifted to the town by Mr Bryson the factor of Seafield Estates at that time. The original 9 holes were created between Portessie and Strathlene House, where 2 of the holes were situated in the area which is now the Caravan Site.
Buckpool
Buckpool is a village on the coast of Moray, Scotland. Originally known as Nether Buckie it is now effectively a part of the town of Buckie as the nearby fishing settlements merged as they expanded. Buckpool Harbour is now disused and is filled with stones, although Cluny Harbour at Buckie is nearby.
