Dr Gray's Hospital

Dr. Gray's Hospital is the smallest District General Hospital in Scotland. It is in Elgin, Moray, and is part of NHS Grampian. It is also part of the Moray Community Health and Social Care Partnership (MCHSP). Birnie Kirk

Birnie Kirk is a Church of Scotland church situated 4 km south of Elgin, in Moray, northeast Scotland. The church was built c. 1140 and became the first cathedral of the Bishop of Moray. It remained the cathedral church until 1184 when Bishop Simon de Tosny died. His successor Richard de Lincoln moved the seat to the church of Kinneddar. The church is one of the oldest in Scotland to have been in continuous use.

Elgin Castle

Elgin Castle was a 12th century castle built near Elgin, Moray, Scotland. Elgin was created a royal burgh by King David I of Scotland in 1136. The castle, once a royal castle, was built as a motte and bailey castle. King Edward I of England captured the castle and stayed at the castle during 1296 and in 1303. It was destroyed by King Robert I of Scotland in 1308, after two previous unsuccessful attempts to capture the castle. The castle was never rebuilt and fell into ruins.
