Loch Maree
Loch Maree is a loch in Wester Ross in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. At 20 km long and with a maximum width of 4 km, it is the fourth largest freshwater loch in Scotland; it is the largest north of Loch Ness. Its surface area is 28.6 km . Loch Maree contains five large wooded islands and over 25 smaller ones, many of which have their own lakelets.

Isle Maree is an island in Loch Maree, Scotland. It has the remains of a chapel, graveyard, holy well, and holy tree on it, believed to be the 8th century hermitage of Saint Maol Rubha (d. 722), who founded the monastery of Applecross in 672. The island contains ancient stands of oak, holly and other trees not found on the other islands in the loch.
Letterewe
Letterewe is a large estate of several tens of thousands of acres on the north-eastern shore of Loch Maree, South-East of Poolewe, in Wester Ross, Scotland. It is one of the wildest, most remote and least populated areas in the United Kingdom. The estate was once in the possession of the Clan Mackenzie. In 1978, it was purchased by the Dutch multi-millionaire, Paul Fentener van Vlissingen, and remains in the ownership of his family.
