Lismore is a partially Gaelic speaking island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. This fertile, low-lying island was once a major centre of Celtic Christianity, with a monastery founded by Saint Moluag and the seat of the Bishop of Argyll.

Achanduin Castle
Achanduin Castle, (also known as Achadun Castle and Acha-Dun), is a castle, now in ruins, located about 5 kilometres west of Achnacroish on the north-western coastline of the Isle of Lismore, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The castle overlooks Loch Linnhe and Bernera Island. The ruins are thought to date back to the thirteenth century. Achanduin Castle had long been thought to have been built by the Bishop of Argyll, though recent research has proved this to be unlikely.
B8045 road
The B8045 is a narrow 8 mile long road running south-east to north-west across the island of Lismore in the Inner Hebrides: it is by default the main road on the island. An unclassified track segues into the official B road at grid reference NM817380(Co-ordinates 56º29’1"N 5 º32’45"W) and passes through remote settlements at Kilcheran, Baligrundle and Balliveolan and the spring at Killandrist before reaching the Cathedral of St Moluag at Clachan.
Lismore Seminary
Lismore Seminary was situated in Kilcheran House on the island of Lismore in the Inner Hebrides part of Argyll, Scotland. It served as a seminary for the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland in the 19th century. At the time it was the only seminary in the west of Scotland and for the Vicariate Apostolic of the Highland District. The house still stands and has a lime kiln from the time of the seminary within the grounds. Both the house and the kiln are category B listed sites.
