Blarmacfoldach
Blarmacfoldach (or Blàr Mac Faoilteach) is a small crofting settlement in Scotland, in the Mamore Hills between Fort William and Kinlochleven. In past centuries, Blarmacfoldach was mainly a Clan Cameron settlement. Historically, the area spoke Lochaber Gaelic, which had a number of distinctive features. In the 19th century, Blarmacfoldach had a population of over 800.

Glen Nevis

It is bordered to the south by the Mamore range, and to the north by the highest mountains in the British Isles: Ben Nevis, Càrn Mor Dearg, Aonach Mòr, and Aonach Beag. It is home to one of the three highest waterfalls in Scotland, Steall Falls, where the Allt Coire a'Mhail joins the Water of Nevis in the glen. Claggan Park
Claggan Park is a football ground in Fort William in the West Highlands of Scotland, which is the home ground of Highland Football League side Fort William F.C.. It is located on Achintee Road on the outskirts of the town and has a capacity of 4,000 with 400 seated. The ground is often considered the most picturesque in Great Britain due to its proximity to the foothills of Ben Nevis, the highest point in the United Kingdom.

Kilmallie
Kilmallie is a civil parish in Lochaber, in the west highlands of Scotland. It is centred around the village of Caol, near Fort William and extends to Banavie and Corpach. It gives its name to the local shinty club, Kilmallie Shinty Club as well as two local churches, Kilmallie Free Church of Scotland and Kilmallie Parish Church of Scotland.
Mullach nan Coirean
Mullach nan Coirean is a Scottish mountain situated in the Mamores group of hills. It reaches a height of 939 metres (3081 feet) and is located eight kilometres north-west of Kinlochleven. It is the most westerly of the ten Munros in the Mamores and it is connected to the adjoining mountain of Stob Bàn by a col with a height of 846 metres; these two Munros are often climbed together from Glen Nevis.
Siege of Fort William
The siege of Fort William, Scotland took place between 20 March and 3 April 1746. Prior to the siege the Jacobites had forced the surrender of Fort Augustus after a siege of just two days, from where they proceeded to Fort William with cannons they had taken from Fort Augustus. They arrived with siege cannon on 20 March and both Cameron of Lochiel and MacDonald of Keppoch wrote to their Jacobite leader, Charles Edward Stuart to tell him that they had declared war on the Clan Campbell.
Belford Hospital
Belford Hospital, locally known as The Belford, is a rural general hospital in Fort William, Lochaber, Scotland. It is run by NHS Highland and Argyll. The Belford provides secondary care to a local population of around 20 000, which can swell up to 60 000 during the summer. Currently, there are Consultant-led general medical and general surgical services. There is also a midwife-led Maternity Unit.
Fort William Junction
Fort William Junction is a railway junction on the West Highland Line in Scotland, located to the east of Fort William railway station. It is where the railway to Mallaig connects with the Glasgow to Fort William railway. A crossing loop exists on the Mallaig line immediately beyond the junction but there has never been a facility for crossing trains on the main West Highland Line in the vicinity of the junction.

Battle of Corpach
The Battle of Corpach was a Scottish clan battle in which the Clan Cameron routed the Clan Maclean. It took place around 1470 at Corpach, just north of Fort William on the west coast of Scotland.
Inverlochy Castle Hotel
Inverlochy Castle Hotel is a 19th-century baronial mansion near Fort William, Scotland. It is located about two miles away from the 13th century Inverlochy Castle, after which it was named. This is a baronial mansion was built in 1863 by James Scarlett, 1st Baron Abinger. Queen Victoria spent a week at Inverlochy during an 1873 visit to Balmoral, remarking "I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot". The house has been used as a hotel since 1969.
Scottish Six Days Trial
The Scottish Six Days Trial is an internationally recognised Motorcycle trials competition, which has been running since 1909 (with breaks for the two world wars) making it the oldest motorcycle trials event in the world. Motorcycle riders from all over the world compete in this extreme sport, covering as much as 100 miles a day on road and off-road routes around Lochaber on each of the six days.
Battle of Inverlochy (1431)
The Battle of Inverlochy (1431) was fought after Alexander of Islay (Alasdair Ìle, Rìgh Innse Gall), Lord of the Isles and Earl of Ross, had been imprisoned by King James I. A force of Highlanders led by Donald Balloch, Alexander's cousin, defeated Royalist forces led by the Earls of Mar and Caithness at Inverlochy, near present-day Fort William. Over 1000 men were supposedly killed, among them the Earl of Caithness.
An Aird
An Aird is both an area of Fort William, Scotland, and also the largest dedicated shinty park in the town and is situated on the east bank of Loch Linnhe, near the centre of the town. It is located next to the Nevis Centre. An Aird regularly hosts both the Camanachd Cup Final and the Composite Rules Shinty/Hurling Internationals and is considered one of the finest parks in shinty.

A coastal distillery in the Western Highlands, Ben Nevis draws its water from the Allt a’Mhuilinn which originates from two pools, Coire Leis and Coire na’Ciste.

Lochaber hydroelectric scheme
The Lochaber hydroelectric scheme was a hydroelectric power generation project constructed in the Lochaber area of the western Scottish Highlands after the First World War. Like its predecessor at Kinlochleven, it was intended to provide electricity for aluminium production, this time at Fort William, a little further north.
West Highland Museum
The West Highland Museum, in the centre of Fort William, Scotland, tells the story of the mountainous West Highlands of Scotland and its people. It has seven rooms on three floors, with an extensive collection of exhibits relating to the Jacobites, including the eighteenth century "secret portrait" of Bonnie Prince Charlie. Later royalty is represented by a collection of Victoriana, including the Highland regalia gifted by Queen Victoria to her favourite servant, John Brown.
East Highland Way
The East Highland Way, developed in 2007, is a long distance walking route in Scotland that connects Fort William with the ski and mountain resort of Aviemore . The name is derived from the fact that the route terminates in Aviemore at the eastern edge of Highland region.
Tor Castle
Tor Castle is a ruined castle near Fort William, Highland, Scotland. An Iron Age fort previously occupied the site. According to tradition, the fort once belonged to Banquo who features in MacBeth. It was subsequently occupied by Clan Chattan in the 11th century. Alistair Carragh Macdonald built a keep after obtaining the lands in the late 14th century. Ewen Cameron of Lochiel, 13th chief of Clan Cameron rebuilt the castle in 1530.
