Nitshill
Nitshill is a district on the south side of Glasgow. It is north of South Nitshill, south of Crookston, and southwest of Silverburn and Pollok. Nitshill was originally a coal mining village. The Nitshill Colliery was the scene of one of Scotland's worst mining disasters—on March 15, 1851 in which 61 men and boys died. The village fell within the county of Renfrewshire until about the 1920s, when it was incorporated into the City of Glasgow.
Crookston Castle
Crookston Castle is located in the Pollok area of south-west Glasgow, Scotland. The castle is located some 5 miles (8 km) south-west of the city centre, and 3 miles (5 km) east of Paisley, overlooking the Levern Water, just before its confluence with the White Cart Water.

Southpark Village is an estate of private houses built during the mid-1990s. It is an example of how larger cities in the UK are starting to push into the city's boundaries. Most homes in the area are occupied by private owners who are within working class or lower/medium-middle class income brackets. Like much of Glasgow since the mid-20th Century, the area is ethnically diverse. The area falls under the council tax bracket of Glasgow City Council.
Priesthill
Priesthill is a district south of the River Clyde in the Scottish city of Glasgow. Priesthill was one of the earliest attempts made by the Glasgow local government to relocate families from the central tenements of Gorbals, Pollokshaws and other districts. Several homeless families were housed there in or around 1948–1950. Priesthill was first mentioned in ancient text as a farm community owned by Walter Steward the progenitor of later Stuart kings and queens.
Hawkhead
Hawkhead is an area near Paisley in Renfrewshire, Scotland. It is the location of Hawkhead railway station on the Paisley Canal Line. It is near Dykebar. The former Hawkhead hospital for infectious diseases, which is now being converted to flats in a development called Hawkhead Village, was designed by the modernist architect Thomas S. Tait. The area's name is recorded as Halkhead in some older maps and in the historical title of Lord Ross of Halkhead

River Levern
The River Levern, also known as the Levern Water, (Scottish Gaelic: Labharan / Uisge Labharain) is a small river in East Renfrewshire and Glasgow, Scotland. The Levern has its source in Long Loch, and for a few miles divides parts East Renfrewshire, passing the village of Neilston and town of Barrhead.
