Celtic Park
Celtic Park is a football stadium in the Parkhead area of Glasgow, and is the home ground of Celtic Football Club. Celtic Park, an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 60,355, is the largest football stadium in Scotland and the Eighth-largest stadium in the United Kingdom, after Murrayfield, Old Trafford, the Olympic Stadium (London), Twickenham, Wembley, Millennium Stadium and Emirates Stadium. It is commonly known by Celtic fans as either Parkhead or Paradise.
Alexandra Park, Glasgow
Alexandra Park is a public park in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. It is located in Dennistoun, three miles east of the city centre. To the north is the M8 motorway. Named after Princess Alexandra of Denmark, it opened in 1870. The users of this park have always found the park pleasant and an enjoyable place to relax and do activities such as sunbathing, playing sports and going for walks or runs. The highest point of the Park gives views North to Ben Lomond and South to the Tinto Hills.

Springburn Museum
Springburn Museum was set up in the reading room of the Springburn Library, Glasgow, Scotland, in the mid-1980s. It continued to provide a community based resource for historical reference throughout the 1990s. It closed in 2003, and exists primarily an online entity. A room has been earmarked for items from the Springburn collection to be displayed within the Leisure Centre (entrance in Kay Street).
MC Metals
MC Metals was a metal recycling company based in the Springburn area of Glasgow, Scotland. The "MC" stands for McWilliam & Christie, both names being associated with separate railway scrapyards that previously existed in the Glasgow area. The company was made famous through the scrapping of huge numbers of British Rail diesel locomotives in the 1980s and 1990s. They operated on railway-owned land adjacent to the BREL St. Rollox railway works.
Glasgow East End Regeneration Route
The Glasgow East End Regeneration Route (EERR) is a new road in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. Currently under construction, the first phase was opened in 2011 with the second phase opened in mid 2012. A third phase from the Parkhead Bypass to Provan (M8/M80) is proposed.
Provan Gas Works
Provan Gas Works is an industrial gas holding plant in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. The plant is in the Provanmill area of the city, and was built by Glasgow Corporation between 1900 and 1904. It later became part of British Gas, and subsequently Transco and most recently Scotia Gas Networks (a subsidiary of Scottish and Southern Energy) who operate it today. Originally the plant was a gasworks, manufacturing town gas via the coking of coal. The plant was expanded after 1919.

Glasgow Inner Ring Road
The Glasgow Inner Ring Road was a proposed ring road encircling the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland. Construction of the roads began in 1965, and half of its circumference was completed by 1972, but no subsequent construction was made and the remaining plans were formally abandoned in 1980. After 30 years, southern section of the proposals have become part of the new M74.
Glasgow Bellgrove rail accident
On 6 March 1989 two Class 303 commuter trains crashed on the Springburn branch of the North Clyde Line, just east of Bellgrove station in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. One passenger and the driver of one of the trains were killed.

St Mungo's Academy is a Roman Catholic, co-educational, comprehensive, secondary school located in Bridgeton, Glasgow. The school was founded in 1858 by the Marist Brothers religious order. The school has a reputation for academic achievement and sporting excellence, particularly in football.

Parkhead Stadium railway station
Parkhead Stadium was a railway station in the east end of Glasgow. It was opened by the Caledonian Railway as Parkhead on 1 February 1897. In recognition of its proximity to the Celtic Park football stadium, by 1904, it was known as Parkhead (for Celtic Park); and it was also referred to in some timetables as Parkhead for Celtic Park. The station was renamed Parkhead Stadium by British Railway Board on 3 March 1952.
Duke Street Prison
Duke Street Prison is one of 8 prisons which used to stand in and around Glasgow. By 1840 most of these were closed except Duke Street Prison (also known as Bridewell or the Northern Prison) and Glasgow Green Prison (known as 'Burgh' or the Southern Prison) which closed in 1863.
Red Road Flats
The Red Road Flats make up a condemned high-rise housing complex which lies between the districts of Balornock and Barmulloch in the north east of the city of Glasgow, Scotland. The estate originally consisted of eight multi-storey blocks of steel frame construction. Two are "slabs", much wider in cross-section than they are deep. Six are "points" — more of a traditional tower block shape.

Bishopbriggs Academy is a secondary school in the town of Bishopbriggs, Scotland, in the district of East Dunbartonshire. Bishopbriggs Academy is a non-denominational, co-educational, comprehensive school taking pupils from S1 to S6. It is currently one of two secondary schools in Bishopbriggs, along with Turnbull High School at Brackenbrae.
Northern F.C
Northern Football Club was a Scottish football club based at Hyde Park in the Springburn area of Glasgow. The club was briefly a member of the Scottish Football League Second Division. The club was formed in 1874, although details of their early years are largely unknown. They were founder members of the Scottish Football Alliance in 1891 following a number of teams in leaving the Alliance two years later to form the new Second Division of the Scottish League.
The Forge Shopping Centre
The Forge Shopping Centre (also known as Parkhead Forge) exists in the east end of Glasgow in Parkhead. The shopping centre bore the name from the former William Beardmore and Company steel works site that had closed in 1976.

North Glasgow College
North Glasgow College is a college located at Springburn in Glasgow and one of the main providers of further education in the city. After the liquidation of the North British Locomotive Company in 1961, the main administration building of the company was bought by Glasgow Corporation and used as an annexe of Stow College, until becoming Springburn College of Engineering in 1965 and later Springburn College in 1981. Its primary role was the teaching of engineering apprentices.
Huntershill Village
Huntershill Village is located opposite Huntershill House at the top of Crowhill Road in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. Over forty local businesses operate from the location. It was historically part of the Huntershill Estate, former residence of the political reformer Thomas Muir. Its also the former site of the Huntershill mining and freestone quarry.
Whitehill Secondary School
Whitehill Secondary School (formerly Whitehill Senior Secondary School) is a Scottish non-denominational comprehensive secondary school located in the suburb of Dennistoun in Glasgow. The school is a part of the Whitehill Campus, along with Golfhill Primary School, and Westercraigs Nursery. The campus was assembled in 2007, following the closure of the Golfhill building due to structural issues. The school moved into the main building in 2009, with Westercraigs having their own structure.

Petershill Park
Petershill Park is a leisure centre located in the Springburn suburb of Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. It has its own stadium, a third generation full-size outdoor football pitch, and has floodlights. It is host to two mens football teams, Petershill and Rossvale (the latter of whom will groundshare), and two ladies teams, Glasgow City Ladies and Rangers Ladies. It is known locally as The Peasy.
Parkhead Cross
Parkhead Cross is a major junction in the Parkhead area in the East End of the city of Glasgow, UK. It is the meeting point of Gallowgate, Duke Street, Westmuir Street, Tollcross Road and Burgher Street, which together form a turreted Edwardian five-way junction, including several fine buildings making the junction notable such as the former Glasgow Savings Bank. The junction can become very busy due to traffic for Football games at nearby Celtic Park.
