Scotland

A74(M) and M74 motorways
The A74(M) and M74 motorways form a major motorway in Scotland. Following an extension opened on 28 June 2011, it connects the M8 motorway west of Glasgow to the English border at Gretna, creating an alternative route for traffic moving from the south to the west of the city. In conjunction with the M6 motorway, it forms one of the two major cross-border routes between Scotland and England. It is part of the unsigned international E-road network E05.
Kingston Bridge, Glasgow
The Kingston Bridge is a balanced cantilever dual-span ten lane road bridge made of triple-cell segmented prestressed concrete box girders crossing the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. The largest urban bridge in the United Kingdom, it carries the M8 motorway through the city centre. The Kingston Bridge is also one of the busiest road bridges in Europe, carrying around 150,000 vehicles every day.

Scotland Street School Museum is a museum of school education in Glasgow, Scotland, in the district of Tradeston. It is located in a former school built by Charles Rennie Mackintosh between 1903 and 1906. The building is one of Glasgow's foremost architectural attractions. It is located next to the Shields Road subway station. During the building's construction, Mackintosh frequently battled the school board about the design (the board wanted a less expensive design).

The Garage (nightclub)
The Garage is a music venue and nightclub located at 490 Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow which opened in 1994. It is Scotland's largest nightclub. The Main Hall was formerly a ballroom known as The Mayfair, although it has since been remodelled by the addition of an extension to the mezzanine level. Apart from the Main Hall, other areas of the venue include the R'n'B-themed G2 club in the basement, the Indie rock-themed Attic, Snapshots Bar and The Engine Room Cocktail Bar.
Shields Road subway station
Shields Road subway station is a station of Glasgow Subway, serving the Pollokshields areas of Glasgow, Scotland. Nearby is Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Scotland Street School Museum. This was one of four (now three) stations which has Park and Ride facilities. The station has been left in an industrial area by post-war reconstruction and is isolated from surrounding areas by the M8 motorway and approach roads for the Kingston Bridge.
West Street subway station
West Street subway station serves the Tradeston area of Glasgow, Scotland. The station will become a major interchange if the Glasgow Crossrail is given the green light. Left in an isolated industrial area by post-war reconstruction, it is the least busy station on the network with just 150,000 boardings in the 12 months to 31 March 2005. West Street was one of the Park and Ride stations. However, on 16 February 2008, the car park was closed as part of the M74 enabling works.
King's Theatre, Glasgow
The King's Theatre is located in Glasgow, Scotland. It was built for Howard & Wyndham Ltd under its chairman Baillie Michael Simons as a sister theatre of their Theatre Royal in the city and was designed by Frank Matcham, opening in 1904. The theatre is primarily a receiving house for touring musicals, dance, comedy and circus-type performances. The theatre also provides a prominent stage for local amateur productions.
Clyde Arc
The Clyde Arc (known locally as the Squinty Bridge), is a road bridge spanning the River Clyde in Glasgow, in west central Scotland, connecting Finnieston, near the Clyde Auditorium and SECC with Pacific Quay and Glasgow Science Centre in Govan. A prominent feature of the bridge is its innovative curved design and the way that it crosses the river at an angle. The Arc is the first city centre traffic crossing over the river built since the Kingston Bridge was opened to traffic in 1969.
Lorne Street Primary School
Lorne Street Primary School is a primary school located in the district of Plantation on the South Side of Glasgow, Scotland, near the Paisley Road West thoroughfare. The building was designed by H&D Barclay and opened in 1892. It is now protected as a category B listed building. Its famous alumni include the Rangers F.C. and Scotland footballer Ian Durrant. John Maclean, the Scottish socialist politician, was a teacher at Lorne Street until his dismissal in 1915 for his political activism.
Tramway (arts centre)
Tramway is a contemporary visual and performing arts venue located in the Scottish city of Glasgow. Based in a former tram depot in the Pollokshields area of the South Side, it consists of two performance spaces and two galleries, as well as The Hidden Garden and offering facilities for community and artistic projects. The new extension to Tramway will be the home of the Scottish Ballet, and is claimed to be one of the leading venues of its type in Europe.

It is located eight miles from Glasgow International Airport and three blocks away from Glasgow City Centre. The hotel can be seen in the Glasgow Skyline. It is located in Anderston close to the M8 Motorway. It officially opened on November 30, 1992.
Our Lady and St Margaret's Primary School
Our Lady and St Margaret's Primary School is a former Catholic primary school located at Stanley Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow, Scotland. In earlier years it was a junior secondary school. The annex of this school was located in the nearby Admiral Sreet Infants School. The school, designed by the architects Bruce & Hay, was established in 1910. Bruce & Hay were known for their work designing warehouses and offices and critics have compared the school's appearance to that of a warehouse.

Shields Road subway station is located at its western end, close to the M8 motorway, and West Street subway station is at its eastern end. Tradeston Bridge
The Tradeston Bridge (colloquially known as Squiggly Bridge) is a pedestrian bridge across the River Clyde in Glasgow which opened on 14 May 2009. It links the districts of Anderston (on the north bank) to Tradeston (on the south bank) - the aim of the bridge being to aid the regeneration of Tradeston by giving it a direct link to the city's financial district on the western side of the city centre.
Cheapside Street Whisky Bond Fire
The Cheapside Street Whisky Bond Fire in Glasgow on 28 March 1960 is Britain's worst peacetime fire services disaster, overshadowed only by a similar fire in James Watt Street (also in Glasgow) on 19 November 1968, when 22 people lost their lives.

The Argyle Building is a mid-rise residential skyscraper in the Anderston district within the centre of Glasgow, Scotland. Completed in 2008, it is among the highest buildings currently standing within the city's central area and occupies a prominent spot next to the Kingston Bridge and the M8 motorway. It can be seen prominently in the background of BBC Scotland television news bulletins.
Elmbank Gardens
Elmbank Gardens (popularly known as the Charing Cross Tower or the Charing Cross Complex) is a multi-use commercial complex in the Charing Cross area of Glasgow, Scotland. Best known for its signature 14-storey tower which overlooks the M8 motorway and stands directly opposite the Mitchell Library, it was designed by Richard Seifert and constructed in 1971. It is one of the tallest and most prominent high rise buildings on the western side of Glasgow city centre.
