It has 22,355 m of flexible space in five main exhibition halls, ranging in size from 775 m to 10,065 m. The venue's holding company SEC Ltd is 91% owned by Glasgow City Council and 9% owned by private investors.

Pacific Quay
Pacific Quay is an area south of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. It is located at the former Plantation Quay and Princes' Dock Basin. The Princes' Dock Basin was the largest on the River Clyde when it was opened by the Clyde Navigation Trust in 1900. It ceased to be used as a commercial dock by the Clyde Port Authority in the 1970s as the volume of Shipping using the Upper Clyde declined with the onset of Containerization. The site was later used for the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988.

The Clyde Arc (known locally as the Squinty Bridge), is a road bridge spanning the River Clyde in Glasgow, in west central Scotland, connecting Finnieston, near the Clyde Auditorium and SECC with Pacific Quay and Glasgow Science Centre in Govan. A prominent feature of the bridge is its innovative curved design and the way that it crosses the river at an angle. The Arc is the first city centre traffic crossing over the river built since the Kingston Bridge was opened to traffic in 1969.

Lorne Street Primary School
Lorne Street Primary School is a primary school located in the district of Plantation on the South Side of Glasgow, Scotland, near the Paisley Road West thoroughfare. The building was designed by H&D Barclay and opened in 1892. It is now protected as a category B listed building. Its famous alumni include the Rangers F.C. and Scotland footballer Ian Durrant. John Maclean, the Scottish socialist politician, was a teacher at Lorne Street until his dismissal in 1915 for his political activism.

Opened by then Prime Minister Gordon Brown in August 2007, the studios are home to BBC Scotland's television, radio and online services and the headquarters of the BBC in Scotland. The studios are located adjacent to the Glasgow Science Centre, across the river from the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and next door to the studios of commercial broadcaster STV.

It consists of two flights connected by a landing, the upper flight turning ninety degrees to the left from the lower flight. International Exhibition of Science, Art and Industry
The International Exhibition of Science, Art and Industry was the first of 4 international exhibitions held in Glasgow, Scotland during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It took place at Kelvingrove Park between May and November 1888. The main aim of the exhibition was to draw international attention to the city's achievements in applied sciences, industry and the arts during the Industrial Revolution.
