Toryglen
Toryglen is a small district in southern Glasgow, Scotland. It is approximately 2 miles south of the city centre to the west of Rutherglen. It is bounded to the west by Mount Florida, the north by Oatlands and the south by King's Park. The name 'Torryglen' first appeared on maps in the late 18th century and was a small farmhouse in the north of the present day area.
Simshill
Simshill is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated south of the River Clyde. Former residents include Sir Alex Ferguson and Carol Smillie. It is next to the beautiful Linn Park. It is situated in between Castlemilk and Kings Park and and is only a short walk away from Hampden Park. There are three schools in Simshill. One secondary school (Kings Park) and two primary schools (St Fillans and St Mirins).
Cathcart Castle
Cathcart Castle was a 15th century castle, located in what is now Linn Park in the Cathcart area of southern Glasgow, Scotland. The castle was abandoned in the 18th century, and the remaining ruins were pulled down in 1980, leaving only foundations visible.
St Margaret Mary's Secondary School
St Margaret Mary's Secondary School is a co-educational, denominational, comprehensive secondary school located in Castlemilk, Glasgow, Scotland. The school originally opened in 1962. The original buildings were demolished in 2002, with a new, smaller school opening in 2004. This was part of a widespread program of rebuilding and refurbishing schools throughout Glasgow by Glasgow City Council in a PFI program.

Bogany Flats
Bogany Flats was a multi-storey block of flats in Castlemilk, Glasgow. The flats were built in 1966 by George Wimpey Ltd, the building contained 114 flats and was known by locals, tongue in cheek, as 'The Hilton'. They also tell of a close community within the block. On Sunday the 28th of March 1993, the end of an era occurred when 30 Bogany Terrace was reduced to a pile of rubble in what was to become the third successfully controlled explosion in Glasgow.
Linn Park, Glasgow, Scotland
Linn Park is a large park - 82 hectares in area - surrounded by the suburbs of Cathcart, Simshill and Netherlee on the southern fringes of Glasgow, Scotland, where the city borders East Renfrewshire. It is Glasgow’s second largest park, after Pollok Country Park. Both parks have the White Cart Water flowing through them.
Castlemilk House
Castlemilk House was an 18th-century country house and estate located in Carmunnock parish, south of Glasgow, Scotland. The house was built around the 15th-century Castlemilk Tower, but was demolished in 1969 to make way for the Castlemilk housing estate. The 19th-century stables were converted to offices in 2006.
