Celtic Park
Celtic Park is a football stadium in the Parkhead area of Glasgow, and is the home ground of Celtic Football Club. Celtic Park, an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 60,355, is the largest football stadium in Scotland and the Eighth-largest stadium in the United Kingdom, after Murrayfield, Old Trafford, the Olympic Stadium (London), Twickenham, Wembley, Millennium Stadium and Emirates Stadium. It is commonly known by Celtic fans as either Parkhead or Paradise.
Alexandra Park, Glasgow
Alexandra Park is a public park in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. It is located in Dennistoun, three miles east of the city centre. To the north is the M8 motorway. Named after Princess Alexandra of Denmark, it opened in 1870. The users of this park have always found the park pleasant and an enjoyable place to relax and do activities such as sunbathing, playing sports and going for walks or runs. The highest point of the Park gives views North to Ben Lomond and South to the Tinto Hills.

Provan Gas Works
Provan Gas Works is an industrial gas holding plant in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. The plant is in the Provanmill area of the city, and was built by Glasgow Corporation between 1900 and 1904. It later became part of British Gas, and subsequently Transco and most recently Scotia Gas Networks (a subsidiary of Scottish and Southern Energy) who operate it today. Originally the plant was a gasworks, manufacturing town gas via the coking of coal. The plant was expanded after 1919.

Glasgow Inner Ring Road
The Glasgow Inner Ring Road was a proposed ring road encircling the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland. Construction of the roads began in 1965, and half of its circumference was completed by 1972, but no subsequent construction was made and the remaining plans were formally abandoned in 1980. After 30 years, southern section of the proposals have become part of the new M74.
Parkhead Stadium railway station
Parkhead Stadium was a railway station in the east end of Glasgow. It was opened by the Caledonian Railway as Parkhead on 1 February 1897. In recognition of its proximity to the Celtic Park football stadium, by 1904, it was known as Parkhead (for Celtic Park); and it was also referred to in some timetables as Parkhead for Celtic Park. The station was renamed Parkhead Stadium by British Railway Board on 3 March 1952.
The Forge Shopping Centre
The Forge Shopping Centre (also known as Parkhead Forge) exists in the east end of Glasgow in Parkhead. The shopping centre bore the name from the former William Beardmore and Company steel works site that had closed in 1976.

Parkhead Cross
Parkhead Cross is a major junction in the Parkhead area in the East End of the city of Glasgow, UK. It is the meeting point of Gallowgate, Duke Street, Westmuir Street, Tollcross Road and Burgher Street, which together form a turreted Edwardian five-way junction, including several fine buildings making the junction notable such as the former Glasgow Savings Bank. The junction can become very busy due to traffic for Football games at nearby Celtic Park.
Athletes' Village (Glasgow 2014)
The Athletes Village for the 2014 Commonwealth Games will be situated on a 35 hectare site, in the east end of Glasgow. The whole project has been designed by RMJM. At first the site will be used as accommodation for up to 8000 athletes and officials from all over the Commonwealth nations, as well as providing a retail area, recreation area, dining hall and medical facilities for the athletes.
