Crossgates, Fife
Crossgates is a small village in Fife, Scotland. It is located close to the junction of the M90 and A92, about two miles east of Dunfermline and a similar distance south west of Cowdenbeath. The village name means 'crossroads': it is situated at the point where the main Dunfermline-Kirkcaldy road crosses the old Great North Road from Inverkeithing to Perth. Crossgates has a long history of mining, both deep and opencast.

Hound Point
Hound Point is a marine terminal in the Firth of Forth, Scotland, just east of the Forth Bridge. First opened in 1975, it is owned and operated by BP as an oil-export terminal for North Sea oil and is the largest such facility in Scotland. The terminal is made up of two sea-island berths that can load vessels of up to 350,000 DWT. Crude oil, supplied by the Forties Pipeline, is loaded from a tank farm at Dalmeny on the southern shore of the estuary or direct from the pipeline.

It lies within the Dalmeny Estate, and is the property of the Earl of Rosebery. It is about 0.33 miles north of Dalmeny House, the main house on the estate. Although its history goes back to the 13th century, the present castle is the result of rebuilding in 1881 by the 5th Earl of Rosebery, who served as the British Prime Minister from 1894–1895.
