East Neuk
The East Neuk or East Neuk of Fife is an area of the coast of Fife, Scotland, which is geographically ill-defined but nonetheless stirs local passions. "Neuk" is the Scots word for nook or corner, and the East Neuk is generally accepted to comprise the fishing villages of the most northerly part of the Firth of Forth and the land and villages slightly inland therefrom.
Kilrenny
Kilrenny is a village in Fife, Scotland. Part of the East Neuk, it lies immediately to the north of (but inland and separate from) Anstruther on the south Fife coast. The name may derive from the Scottish Gaelic Cill Reithneach, meaning 'church of the bracken'. Alternatively, the '-renny' element may perpetuate a worn down form of Etharnán or Itharnán, an early churchman who 'died among the Picts' in 669 according to the Annals of Ulster.
Kilrenny, Anstruther Easter and Anstruther Wester
Kilrenny, Anstruther Easter and Anstruther Wester was a royal and small burgh in Fife, Scotland from 1930 to 1975. The burgh was formed the amalgamation of three neighbouring royal burghs of Kilrenny, Anstruther Easter and Anstruther Wester by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1929. The three merging towns had all received royal burgh status between 1578 and 1583.
Cellardyke
Cellardyke is a village in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. The village is to the immediate east of Anstruther (the two effectively being conjoined) and is to the south of Kilrenny.
Scottish Fisheries Museum
The Scottish Fisheries Museum is an award-winning museum in Anstruther, Fife, that records the history of the Scottish fishing industry and its people from earliest times to the present day. Opened in 1969, the museum is situated on the harbour front in Anstruther, in the heart of the East Neuk crab and lobster fishing villages of St Monans, Pittenweem, Cellardyke and Crail.

Anstruther Fish Bar
The Anstruther Fish Bar is a fish and chip shop in Anstruther, a fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. The Bar is situated on Shore Street, the harbour front in Anstruther, and is particularly popular with tourists. It sells take-away fish and chips, which are often consumed at the public seating area opposite the shop, where local fishermen land crab and lobster.
Caves of Caiplie
The Caves of Caiplie, Caplawchy or Caiplie Coves, known locally as The Coves are a cave system on the Fife Coastal path between Anstruther and Crail in Scotland. The Caves were founded around 875 BCE and were the site of early Christian worship, after this they were used by farmers to house livestock and included a doocot for housing pigeons (c170), the caves are thought to have been abandoned since c180.
