North-East Fife (district)
North-East Fife was one of three local government districts in the Fife region of Scotland from 1975 - 1996. The district was formed by the local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 from part of the former county of Fife, namely: The burghs of Auchtermuchty, Crail, Cupar, Elie and Earlsferry, Falkland, Kilrenny, Anstruther Easter and Anstruther Wester, Ladybank, Newburgh, Newport-on-Tay, Pittenweem, St Andrews, St Monance and Tayport. The districts of Cupar and St Andrews.
Stratheden
Stratheden is a hamlet 2 miles west of Cupar, and just north of Springfield, in Fife, Scotland. The hamlet comprises a psychiatric hospital and Stratheden Cottages, which were originally built to house the hospital staff. The hospital was built as the Fife and Kinross District Lunatic Asylum in the 1860s. It has also been known as Cupar Asylum and Springfield Asylum. The Scots Porridge Oats factory is located nearby, as is Elmwood Farm, the first fully organic farm in Scotland.
Yeomanry House
Yeomanry House is currently a barracks of the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse located in Cupar, Fife. This complex of buildings within a walled compound was completed in 1844 and was originally used as a prison for criminals until it was converted into a military barracks.
Crawford Priory
Crawford Priory is a country house about 2 miles south west of Cupar, Fife, Scotland. It is a former residence of the Earls of Crawford, Earls of Glasgow and Barons Cochrane of Cults. It lies just outside the village of Springfield. Originally built as Crawford Lodge by the 21st Earl of Crawford in 1758, it was substantially enlarged and extended in the early nineteenth century by a sister of the 22nd Earl, Lady Mary Lindsay Crawford.
Scotstarvit Tower
Scotstarvit Tower is a tower house in Fife, Scotland. It is situated 2 miles south of Cupar, between Tarvit Hill and Walton Hill, south of the River Eden, near the A916 road. The six-storey L-plan tower, still largely intact, was built in the third quarter of the 16th century by the Inglis family. It was bought, in 1611, by Sir John Scot, author of the satirical The Staggering State of the Scots' Statesmen. Scot rebuilt the tower in the 1620s.
Elmwood College
Elmwood College is located in Cupar, Fife, Scotland. Elmwood College was officially declared open in 1972, after a few years of holding classes on borrowed premises. The college had started classes about twenty years earlier. There are full-time as well as part-time courses, work based courses, and modern apprenticeships. There is a large variety of subjects taught at Elmwood College, including land-based courses, and it is especially well known for golf and greenkeeping courses.
Balgarvie Castle
Balgarvie Castle was located at Balgarvie, near Cupar in Fife, Scotland. The castle was sacked by an English army led by Sir John Pettsworth during the reign of Robert the Bruce (1306–1329). Balgarvie was a possession of the Balfours of Burleigh, and was later sold to the Earl of Melville. It was demolished circa 1938–1940, and there are no remains surviving.

Cupar Castle was a former royal castle at Cupar, Fife, Scotland. No remains of the castle remain above ground.
