Inchcolm Abbey
Inchcolm Abbey is a medieval abbey located on the island of Inchcolm in the Firth of Forth in Scotland. The Abbey, which is located at the centre of the island, was founded in the 12th century during the episcopate of Gregoir, Bishop of Dunkeld. Later tradition placed it back in the reign of King Alexander I of Scotland (1107–24), who probably had some involvement in the island. He was apparently washed ashore there after a shipwreck in 1123, and took shelter in a hermit's hovel.
Inchcolm
Inchcolm (from the Scottish Gaelic "Innis Choluim", meaning Columba's Island) is an island in the Firth of Forth in Scotland. Repeatedly attacked by English raiders during the Wars of Scottish Independence, it was fortified during both World Wars to defend nearby Edinburgh. Inchcolm now attracts visitors to its former Augustine Abbey.
Mossmorran
The Mossmorran NGL (natural gas liquids) fractionation plant is part of the North Sea Brent oil and gas field system located on the outskirts of Cowdenbeath, Fife. After the gas is separated from oil on the platforms offshore, the gas is then pumped ashore in the FLAGS and Fulmar pipelines to a terminal at St Fergus operated by AvantiGas. At the St Fergus Gas Plant the methane is separated from the rest of the gas product.
Hound Point
Hound Point is a marine terminal in the Firth of Forth, Scotland, just east of the Forth Bridge. First opened in 1975, it is owned and operated by BP as an oil-export terminal for North Sea oil and is the largest such facility in Scotland. The terminal is made up of two sea-island berths that can load vessels of up to 350,000 DWT. Crude oil, supplied by the Forties Pipeline, is loaded from a tank farm at Dalmeny on the southern shore of the estuary or direct from the pipeline.
St Bridget's Kirk
St. Bridget's Kirk is a former church in the outskirts of Dalgety Bay, Fife, Scotland. It is a shell of a medieval church, dating back at least as far as 1178, and was altered in the 17th century for Protestant worship. It is now in ruins.
