M80 motorway
The M80 is a motorway in central Scotland, running through Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, Falkirk and Stirling and links the M8, the M73 and M9 motorways. Following completion in 2011, this road is 25 miles long. From 1992 – 2011, the road was in two sections; the southern section, Glasgow to Stepps and the northern section Haggs to Stirling. A connecting Stepps to Haggs section was completed in September 2011.
Castlecary

Castlecary is a small village on the border between the North Lanarkshire and Falkirk council areas in Scotland. It is close to the new town of Cumbernauld. Castlecary is like many other settlements in the area tied to the Roman history of Scotland. The route of the Antonine Wall passes close to the village.
Allandale railway station
Allandale railway station was a rail station proposed for the line between Cumbernauld and Falkirk near the villages of Allandale and Castlecary. The station was recommended in the Scottish Executive's "Central Scotland Transport Corridor Studies", published in January, 2003 as Castlecary railway station. However, the scheme's promoters were persuaded to change the name of the station to avoid confusion with an existing Castle Cary railway station in Castle Cary, Somerset.

Denny High School
Denny High School in Scotland is a non-denominational public secondary school. The school was opened in 1959, and moved to a new building in February 2009. The school contains a gymnasium, swimming pool and drama studio. The school serves an area of 25 square miles around the area of Denny, including Bonnybridge, Dunipace, Banknock and Dennyloanhead. In 2004, Denny High School had a roll of 1316 pupils and 95 teachers. It also employed 34 non-teaching staff.
Torwood Castle
Torwood Castle is a castle ruin near the village of Torwood, in the Falkirk Council area of central Scotland. It has been estimated as being built around 1566 for Sir Alexander Forrester. It was once the seat of Clan Forrester. The castle was built by the Lords Forrester, who supplied the Crown with timber and were in charge of a royal hunting area. The castle is a Scottish Baronial style castle. The castle is undergoing a slow restoration, now under the auspices of the Torwood Castle Trust.

Plean is a former mining village, in the Stirling Council area of central Scotland located on the main A9 road from Falkirk. At the 2001 census, Plean had a population of 1,740. Plean has some historic buildings, some council houses and an estate.
Herbertshire Castle
Herbertshire Castle was a castle built in the Barony of Herbertshire in the early part of the tenure of Henry Sinclair, Earl of Orkney. In 1768, the estate was sold to the Trustees of William Forbes of Callendar. In 1914, the castle was damaged by fire, and was demolished in 1950.
