HM Prison Kilmarnock
HM Prison Kilmarnock is a prison in Bowhouse, Hurlford near Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. It is situated 3 miles south-east of Hurlford on the Mauchline Road. Its location means it is locally known as Bowhouse Prison. The prison was opened 25 March 1999 and is privately run by Serco (formerly known as Premier Prison Services) on behalf of the Scottish Prison Service; the first of its kind in Scotland. The prison is operated to a contract between Serco and the Scottish Prison Service.
Loudoun Academy, Galston
Loudoun Academy is a secondary school in the outskirts of Galston, East Ayrshire, in Scotland serving the Loudoun district which includes the Irvine Valley, Kilmarnock, and surrounding rural areas of East Ayrshire. The school was built in 1970. The current enrolment is somewhere around 1000 pupils. Previous Headmaster Brian Johnston retired in 2009 and was succeeded by Peter Flood who in 2012 went to perth and Graeme Walker is now standing in as acting head teacher.

Loudoun Kirk
Loudoun Kirk is a disused church located about one mile west of Loudoun Castle, East Ayrshire. It served as Loudoun's parish church until some point after 1600, when this function moved to the church in nearby Newmilns. It subsequently fell into a state of disrepair, however since 1994 has been preserved by a local charity, Friends Of Loudoun Kirk.
Carnell Estate
Carnell Estate is a mansion house and estate near the hamlet of Moss Side in East Ayrshire, Scotland, about 5 miles southeast of Kilmarnock and about 25 miles southwest of Glasgow. The estate covers about 2000 acres. Although much of the house dates to 1843, the neo-Jacobean 16th century tower remains. It was built by the Wallace Family and in 1750 was referred to as ‘Cairnhill’ on General Roy’s map of 1750.
