Clachan, Kintyre
Clachan is a small village in North Kintyre, Argyll & Bute. Clachan is the site of an old church, which was the principal church for the North Kintyre area. The church is surrounded by carved stone statues of the Chiefs of the Clan Alasdair. Another group of standing stones (the tallest of which is 3.4 metres), and a burial cist, are found to the south of Clachan, near Ballochroy Farm.
Dun Skeig
Dun Skeig is an oval Iron Age dun (fort) overlooking West Loch Tarbert in Kintyre, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The dun is about 45 feet in diameter with an outer wall of 13 feet thick and has a single entrance. Other prehistoric monuments on the Kintyre Peninsula include the Avinagillan standing stone.

Balinakill House is a Victorian manor house to the east of the village of Clachan, Kintyre, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The house was built by Sir William Mackinnon, 1st Baronet of Strathaird and Loup, founder of the British India Steam Navigation Company, who purchased the estates of Balinakill and Loup in 1867. The house was completed in 1893.
