Sgat Mòr and Sgat Beag
Sgat Mòr and Sgat Beag are two small islands that lie off the Cowal peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. Sgat Mòr lies at grid reference NR930666 at the mouth of Loch Fyne. The island rises just 11 metres above sea level and is home to a small lighthouse. The area to the south of the island is the deepest area of water in the Clyde area. Sgat Mòr is sometimes corrupted into English as Skate Island. Sgat Beag is a similar but slightly smaller island that lies 1 kilometre to the east.
Tighnabruaich
Tighnabruaich is a village on the Kyles of Bute in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Tighnabruaich is promoted as part of "Argyll's Secret Coast", just an hour and a half west of Glasgow, and is located along the east coast of Loch Fyne and stretching into the Kyles of Bute. Tighnabruaich is popular for sailing and yachting and has its own sailing school.

Kames (Scottish Gaelic: Camas nam Muclach) is a small village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Kames is connected to Tighnabruaich and has a post office, church, police station and hotel. The grocery store, Duncan's Village Store won the Scottish Food and Drink Neighbourhood Store of the year, 2010. Located directly on the foreshore is the Kames Hotel.
Ardlamont House
Ardlamont House is a Georgian estate house lying at the tip of the Cowal peninsula, 5.5 kilometres south of Kames, in Argyll, Scotland. The house was built c.1820 for Major General John Lamont, 19th of Lamont. It is designated as a Category B listed building by Historic Scotland. The two-storey house is harled. The main block has a piended slate roof, while the single-storey wings have skew (sloping) gables. A well-preserved obelisk sundial is located in the garden.
