Lagavulin distillery is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Lagavulin on the island of Islay, United Kingdom. The standard Lagavulin single malt is 16 years old (43%), though they regularly release a 12-year-old cask strength variety, a Distiller's edition finished in Pedro Ximénez casks, and 25- and 30-year-old varieties. A recent 21-year-old bottling, matured solely in first-fill sherry casks, has been extremely well received by enthusiasts.

Laphroaig distillery

Laphroaig distillery, is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky distillery. It is named for the area of land at the head of Loch Laphroaig on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. The meaning of the toponym is unknown but a commonly suggested derivation implies the elements "lag", "breid" and "vik", implying an original Gaelic form something like "Lag Bhròdhaig" (the hollow of Broadbay).

Ardbeg Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands. The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, and the company claims it produces the peatiest Islay whisky. The distillery uses malted barley sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen. It is one of the fastest growing Islay distilleries.

Texa

Texa is a small island 700 metres directly south of Islay, in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland. It reaches a height of 48 metres at its highest point, Ceann Garbh. It is part of the parish of Kildalton on Islay. The distilleries of Laphroaig and Lagavulin are nearby on the Islay coast, as well as Port Ellen. It is currently uninhabited, but is home to wild goats, as well as otters.

Kildalton Castle

Kildalton Castle is a ruined Victorian country house near Port Ellen on the island of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, Argyll, Scotland. It was built in ashlar in 1870 to a rambling plan in the Scots baronial style. Although roofs have fallen in the walls are sound and consist of two storey accommodation wings dominated by a four storey keep and a connected five storey tower. It stands in a 2000 acre moorland estate.
